So the next morning we woke up and headed to the food court for breakfast! I got a Mickey waffle with strawberries
The Boyfriend had the same croissant sandwich with a side of sausage that he had the day before, so I didn't bother getting another picture of the same food. However, I had no memory of taking a picture of the side of sausage the day before, so I went ahead and took one. Later in the day we were waiting at a bus stop surrounded by a bunch of people, and I was looking at all the pictures on my camera... when I saw that I had indeed gotten a photo of the sausage photo the day before I exclaimed, "Oh! I did take a picture of your sausage yesterday!" And after the words came out of my mouth I realized how bad they sounded... and I became very aware of all the families around us.
The Mickey waffle was just as good as I remembered!!!!!
After breakfast, we got on the bus and headed to Animal Kingdom!!!
It was crazy humid when we got there and I had trouble seeing because my glasses were fogged up.
The first thing we did was go to the gift shop so The Boyfriend could buy some batteries for his camera! To test his new batteries, he took a picture of me getting out my camera
And then he took a picture of himself
When I got out my camera, the lens immediately fogged up because of the humidity. So we just kinda sat around waiting until my lens stopped fogging up and I was finally able to take pictures.
First stop... Kilimanjaro Safaris!!!!!
When we got on the safari vehicle and started on our way, The Boyfriend started feeling bad that my DSLR with a telephoto lens was better than his little point and shoot. So he gave up on taking pictures of the animals all together, and instead decided to take pictures of me taking pictures of the animals. So the photos of the animals were taken by me, and the photos of me were obviously taken by The Boyfriend
We saw a baby giraffe:
And then we saw a baby elephant (of course later we also saw an animatronic baby elephant!):
And we also saw a baby rhino:
Last time we went on this ride, the driver we got on the safari was terrible!! He didn't get into it at all and he just unenthusiastically delivered the lines. The lady we had this time was much better! So we were pleased about that. Plus seeing all the baby animals was really cool!
After we got off the safari, we decided to do the Pangani Forest Trail since it was right there.
When we were looking at the fish, I overheard a little boy ask his mom, "Can we buy them?" and I thought it was cute, so I went to tell The boyfriend, but he just pointed his camera at me and wasn't listening to what I was saying so I made a face
All the bamboo on the trail made me feel like I was on the island from Lost, so I texted my mom a picture to show her
(My mom is seriously the biggest Lost fan ever...)
My phone started being weird then. It was having trouble sending the text and it started draining the battery like crazy.
The Boyfriend used the viewscope thingie to see the meerkats.
I just used my telephoto lens
Eventually we got to the gorillas! I was standing next to a mom and overheard her tell another lady that her kids said the gorilla looked like their Uncle Phil and that she was really confused because they don't have an Uncle Phil...
I started giggling to myself because I knew exactly why her kids said that! They'd been watching Must Do Disney! Every time we go to WDW, The Boyfriend and I always turn on the Must Do Disney channel in our hotel room and just let it play over and over and over again in the background. Well, if you've never watched Must Do Disney, the host Stacey looks at a gorilla and says, "He kinda looks like my Uncle Phil"
While we were there, one of the gorillas beat his hands on his chest and roared! I didn't get a picture of it, but it was pretty neat to see!
I did get this shot though
After we finished the Pangani Forest Trail, it was about time for our lunch reservations, so we headed to Yak and Yeti!
I had a Yak Attack
Still one of my favorite frozen drinks at WDW! I did see on the menu that they had alcoholic snow cones!!! I didn't get one this trip, but next time I go to Yak and Yeti, I definitely want to try one!
The Boyfriend got a beer. I'm pretty sure it was a Safari Amber, but I'm not positive.
To eat, The Boyfriend got the Kobe Beef Burger
He said it was really good, but he doesn't like shoestring fries. I on the other hand LOVE shoestring fries, so I ended up eating most of his!
I got the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp
It was really, really, really good.... but it was so much food!!!!
We were both so full by the time we finished our entrees! For dessert, we both got the Fried Wontons
They were soooooooooooo good! We were both so full we started to feel sick before the dessert even came out, but we both cleaned our dessert plates it was just that good! I would say it would be worth going to Yak and Yeti again just for this dessert! If I were to go to Yak and Yeti again, I would definitely order a smaller entree! While my food was delicious, it was just way way way too much!
