I Ate Too Much Food & Took Too Many Pictures! A Sept TR

I LOVE your photos! The dogs are so cute. The fisheye lens ones are awesome!!! I feel your pain about having no trick-or-treaters. I had exactly 0, too.

So we got to the bus stop (again, a very short walk from our room... not quite as short as to the food court... but still, not much of a walk at all!) and there was a bus going to Epcot sitting right there! We got on board and noticed the bus was completely empty! The bus driver waited awhile to see if anyone else was coming to go to Epcot... but when no one else got on after a bit of a wait, we were on our way!

We were the only ones on the bus!!!

2007466040105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It was crazy! I've never had a private bus ride at WDW before! It was pretty neat!

It wasn't long before we were at Epcot!!! Now, The Boyfriend quickly realized his camera was out of batteries. So he only took 1 picture the entire day. So all the pictures I'm posting for Epcot day were taken by me...with the exception of the 1 picture he took! Which also means there aren't a lot of pictures of me.

One of the first things we saw was the Tronorail!

2549773150105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend stood around waiting for me while I took pictures of Spaceship Earth!

2956104250105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

(Which was so fun to do with a fisheye lens!) Then we decided to ride Spaceship Earth!

2896079030105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2257141420105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Going backwards and seeing everyone's screens:

2276359050105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I wasn't really paying full attention to what they were saying about our future... but this picture looks like we're going on vacation and our robot is taking care of our dog while we're gone... Great, so in the future my job is replaced by robots... :worried:

2022052810105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2911569830105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2402760810105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Look where we're from!

2409066480105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

After we got off the ride, The Boyfriend played the game thingie to test his reflexes and memory and stuff...

2656112930105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2949724270105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

He got a perfect score... which is probably because he plays A LOT of video games!

Then we played a 2 person 3D game where they gave us bones and organs and stuff and we had to build a person! It was fun and we did awesome at it! Yay teamwork! Plus we got to wear 3D glasses!

2141089510105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we walked around outside and I took some more pictures!

2631435240105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2207694240105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we said "Hey! Let's go to Club Cool!"

2430579570105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I got myself a cup of Beverly and it was just as good as I remember it! I love that stuff! I know I must be absolutely insane... but it's sooo good! Last year The Boyfriend was taken by surprise by the Beverly. And less than a year later he decided to try it again... this time fully prepared! I had to capture this!

2918590420105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2363391890105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2400404490105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Obviously he didn't want to finish it, so he gave it to me! I was quite pleased to be Double Fisting my Beverly!

2621028610105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And that is the one picture The Boyfriend took at Epcot!

I had several more cups of Beverly before we left! I needed to get my fix! I've tried to find it online to buy... but can't find it anywhere! :sad1: If anyone knows where you can buy some Beverly, let me know!

After quenching our thirst at Club Cool, we made our way over to the Land Pavilion. We had some time to kill before our lunch ADRs, so we rode Living With The Land. Neither of us had ever ridden it before. Because it was my first time on the ride, I decided to spend the whole time taking everything in instead of snapping pictures. So no pictures for this ride! We both really liked it though and would definitely ride it again! And next time I ride it, I'll take pictures!

Then we decided to go ahead and get some FPs for Soarin'. But there was only like a 25 min wait and we still had a lot of time to kill before lunch. So we just went ahead and got in the line.

Here's The Boyfriend waiting in line to ride Soarin'

2958095450105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

When we got to the video, we both couldn't contain our giggles! All we could think of when we saw Patrick Warburton was Brock Samson!

Soarin' was super fun as usual! I always love flying over San Diego!!

By this time we were getting closer to lunch... So we decided to head over to the Living Seas With Nemo And Friends Pavilion. We skipped the Clam Mobile ride and headed straight into the Pavilion. We do enjoy that ride, but we'd done it last year and didn't feel we needed to do it again this year.

We walked around looking at the fish!

2703240300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2822315720105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2413868500105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We were still pretty early for lunch, but we thought we'd head to the Coral Reef anyway to see if they could go ahead and seat us. So we headed outside and made our way to the Coral Reef entrance.

On the way there, the Monorail passed right over our heads... which was pretty cool!

2958610460105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Coral Reef entrance was pretty exciting!

2285516020105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We checked in and they gave us a buzzer. We sat down and just a couple minutes later our buzzer went off and we were seated!

2327231250105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I really loved the atmosphere!! Even though we weren't seated close to the aquarium, it was still an enjoyable dining experience!

The Boyfriend had the Reef Amber beer

2488684360105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I had a drink called The Abyss

2255450430105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We both had The New York Strip Steak

2160098880105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It was so good! We both cleaned our plates!

Then for dessert I had The Chocolate Wave

2038606860105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

WOW! This was hands down the best dessert I've ever had in my life! I was so full from dinner, but I ate every single bite of this... it was way too good not too! I absolutely loved it!!!

The Boyfriend had the Bailey's and Jack Daniels Mousse

2463504920105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

This was also superb!!! You could definitely taste the alcohol! Very yummy!

2138647590105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

After lunch we were eager to head over to the World Showcase!

But first we stopped and The Boyfriend played in the water play area!

2309719210105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Great update! We ate at Coral Reef as well and thought it was a nice place! I will definitely go there again (we were seated next to the tank, though-- I think it is because we had kids with us)!

Love all of your photos! We're heading down in 38 days staying at POFQ for the 4th time - we LOVE it and can't wait!!!! I love your food choices and all of your pics are amazing. Keep 'em coming!!! :cool1:

I just wanted to let everyone know that today is my birthday!!!!! I'm 25!!!!

This is what I woke up to this morning:

birthdayballoonss.jpg

The Boyfriend stayed up last night wrapping presents and blowing up balloons after I went to bed! I had no idea! I was so surprised and so happy! And there's even a present on that table from my dogs!

I'm waiting till tonight to open presents. My parents are coming over too and bringing more presents for me! I'll be sure to update you guys with what I got!

So I really loved having my DSLR at WDW this trip. I love the pictures I was able to take. But... it was heavy and quite the pain to carry around! So I've been kind of undecided about whether or not I should bring a DSLR on my next WDW trip. (I currently don't have any trips planned, so who knows when that will be!)

Well, I think I've found a solution! I'm thinking about getting a Sony NEX-3. It's a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. It's a really small, lightweight, portable digital camera... but it has the performance and capabilities of a DSLR!

sonynex3.gif

sonynex3442090.jpg

inhand3.jpg

I just think it would be the perfect camera to take to WDW!! Plus it has some really neat features like 3D Panorama Sweep and Auto HDR! And Lensbaby makes a product called the Tilt Transformer that will fit this model camera. What the Tilt Transformer does is let you use any Nikon mount lens on the Sony NEX-3 as a tilt shift lens!!!

So yeah... I really want this camera! It's around $500. I've started saving now, and will probably get one in a few months!

Does anyone have this camera? I'd like to hear what you think of it!

Anyway, I'll get back to my TR later this week!

Happy Birthday!! Your bf was so sweet to do that for you!

Haha, don't worry! I'm still alive and well! Just The Boyfriend took this whole week off work because he was in danger of losing vacation days if he didn't! So he's home all day which means I don't get to use the computer that much! Haha! Normally I use it while he's at work.

I had a wonderful birthday, and I'll be sure to tell you all about it next week when he goes back to work! And I'll also, you know, get back to work on this whole TR! ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to get on real quick to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

This year I'll be doing Thanksgiving dinner with The Boyfriend's family! I'm looking forward to it! I'm making a cranberry raspberry sauce and a layered pea salad! Yum!

Love the pictures! The fisheye effects are really cool, especially in Spaceship Earth. Looks like you ate well so far! I have never tried the chocolate wave dessert but it looks like that molten chocolate cake-type desserts which I love too. Yum. The drinks you got also look really tasty!

I agree the ferry to POFQ in the dark is rather freaky, it's so quiet and you can't see a thing!

I haven't looked at the Sony NEX but I was eyeing the Panasonic GF1 which is the same technology concept. I know that TopDog got one, and that he loves it. You can also use canon/nikon lenses on that too.

I also love molten chocolate cakes! But The Chocolate Wave is hands down the best molten chocolate cake I've ever tasted!!! It's just absolutely amazing!!!

From what I've read about the GF1, you can use Canon and Nikon lenses, but the AF doesn't work. Is that correct? Because you can use Canon and Nikon lenses on the SONY NEX as well, but again, the AF doesn't work.

I'm still here!!! I know I promised to update last week, but I was really busy with work! I finally have a day off work, so I thought I'd get around to updating my TR!

But first... here are some pics from The Boyfriend's cousin's wedding in Texas! I only brought my point and shoot with me on this trip.

We stayed at The Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth. Our room:

So speaking of weddings! I recently made a little website gallery thingie for my wedding photography! You can check it out here if you'd like!

So I had a pretty fun week last week! First of all, it snowed!!!!!!! Of course, the snow melted the next day. But it was still fun to have a day of snow!

On Tuesday I took my dogs Fernando and Rosie to an agility class with my parents and their dog Jack! They had a blast! They jumped over hurdles and through tires and ran through chutes and tunnels!

Then on Thursday, The Boyfriend and I saw Paul & Storm and Jonathan Coulton in concert!!! It was a pretty awesome show and we had a great time!

Then on Saturday, I took Fernando to a Pug Christmas Party! There were about 10-12 pugs there! Fernando had fun playing with them! There was even a 5 month old pug puppy that was absolutely adorable!!! Fernando had fun chasing him! The pugs did a gift exchange and Fernando got a little stuffed monkey that squeaks!

Anyway... now it's time to return to the TR!!!!

As soon as we got to the WS, the very first stop we made was our favorite pavilion... Mexico!!!!!!

2834030500105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We rode the Three Caballeros ride! Which is totally cute! And we looked around at the shops.

2106144520105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I bought a gift for my brother... some chocolate candies filled with tequila! I got carded when I bought them and the CM commented on how absurd he felt carding me... He said, "They're chocolates!!! But we're in the States..."

Then I got myself a Passion Fruit Frozen Margarita

2223032340105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

So yummy!!!!! I looooooove passion fruit!!

After I finished my margarita, we headed to Norway!

2461135980105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We rode Maelstrom and watched the video at the end! We loved how awesomely '80s it was!

Our next stop was China!

2589417030105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2106665920105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We watched the acrobats perform

2353479840105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend was really worried that the little girls were going to hurt themselves doing their routine, so he didn't want to watch for very long! I assured him that they were professionals and that they'd probably been doing that since they were born...

I thought this was darn cute

2938563160105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We then headed to Germany!

2009130850105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I absolutely LOVED the train set!!!

2599011800105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2081628680105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend and I shared a beer

2322725690105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And we saw a bird

2251502750105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We kind of wandered past Italy... not really spending much time there. We watched a mime for a little bit. I didn't really get any good pictures in Italy.

Then we just kinda totally walked past America... and went to Japan!

2857496300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I got me some Kaki Gori

2056739480105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And The Boyfriend got a Kirin beer

2961588300105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we skipped Morocco since we knew we'd be back there for dinner, and made our way to France.

I got a Grand Marnier slush

2405415640105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

YUCK YUCK YUCK! This was absolutely disgusting! Just gross! Of course I still drank the whole thing since I'm not going to throw away booze no matter how bad it tastes! But yeah, the Grey Goose slush is much better!!

The Boyfriend got a Kronenbourg 1664 beer

2362052630105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

He didn't care much for it and it was his least favorite drink of the trip.

By this point it had started to rain. And I had the most disgusting taste in my mouth from the Grand Marnier slush. I wasn't hungry yet, but I just wanted something to get the taste out of my mouth. And I thought it would be a good idea to get out of the rain.

So we headed to Morocco!

2605913000105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We went to the Tangierine Cafe for dinner

The Boyfriend got the lamb wrap

2362615900105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And I got the falafel wrap

2801554930105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Sadly it wasn't as good as I had remembered it being from the year before.

We both had the baklava for dessert

2418250820105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

It was pretty good... but we were both too full to really eat it! I had ziplock bags back at our hotel room, and I wished I'd brought them with us to the park that day to take our leftover baklava home! (I did learn from this and brought ziplock bags to the parks with me every day after!) But sadly we had to throw out our baklava.

The Boyfriend also got a Casa Beer, which is one of his favorite beers

2312948810105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

When we were done with dinner, it was pouring!!! So we had to decide if we wanted to continue on to the UK and Canada... Our other option was to head to Mexico and have some margaritas at La Cava del Tequila where we could stay dry!

You'll have to wait till the next installment to see what we chose!!!

Oh my goodness!!! I have not updated in forever!!!

Don't worry! I haven't forgotten about this TR! I've just been busy! But I will try my hardest to update tomorrow!!!!!!

I will also try and catch up on everyone else's TRs!

I'm doing a Project 365 this year where I take 1 picture a day for a whole year. It's pretty challenging, and I'm only in January! You can check it out here if you're interested!

We chose margaritas!!!!!

So we hopped on the ferry! And we got to stay dry for a bit. But by the time we got off on the other side, it was raining even harder! So we ran to the Mexico pavilion and got inside as quick as we could! We made our way straight to La Cava del Tequila and luckily there was one table free!

2943683550105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2669780620105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend ordered a tequila flight

2333009480105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I ordered the Magic Blue margarita

2467685550105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We also got some snacks! I'm not entirely sure what The Boyfriend ordered. I think it might be the Tostadas De Jaiba, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it looked like this:

2131532490105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

I ordered the guacamole

2018000980105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Now, I ordered this for 2 reasons. 1. I freakin LOVE guacamole and 2. I'm allergic to corn, and the menu said it came with "fried flour chicharron". Which I was very excited about because normally when you get guacamole it comes with corn chips. So I was pretty disappointed when my guacamole came with a side of corn chips!!! I figured maybe they were out of chicharron, or maybe they changed the menu and now guacamole comes with corn chips. So I just ate my guacamole plain and didn't say anything. But then before we were leaving, a lady at another table got some guacamole and it came with the flour chicharron!!!!!!!!! So yeah, I was pretty bummed by the whole thing, but it was still good guacamole!

And the margarita was good! I still like the Fruta de la Pasión margarita better... but it was exciting getting a margarita with a glow cube!!!

After we were done at La Cava, we headed to Norway! We stopped in the Kringala Bakeri Og Kafe. I got me some Viking Coffee

2451332740105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

And a Cloudberry Horn

2794826970105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Sooo yummy!

By the time we were done, the rain had stopped! But there was hardly anyone left in the park! I guess they all left because of the rain! Or they were all grabbing seats for Illuminations. So we decided to do some rides! First we rode Test Track! We walked right on, there was no line at all! Plus it was pretty cool riding it at night!

Then we rode Mission: SPACE.

2959069970105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Again, no line at all!

Then we had to go see the pretty lights in the ground!

2479164060105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

By then it was almost time for Illuminations. We debated whether we should stay and watch it, or head back to the hotel. We decided to avoid the park closing crowds and head back. But first I needed a Spaceship Earth night picture!

2409026940105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

We got on a bus and it wasn't long before we were back at POFQ! We decided to go for a night time swim!

2471463750105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

2450046810105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Then we went back to our room and went right to sleep because we were pretty exhausted!

The drinks you got look so good, especially the passionfruit margarita! Did you get my Twitter when I was in Hawaii and had the Wailua Wheat ale? Totally reminded me of you!

Great pictures, and I like your wedding picture website too :)

That sucks that you were allergic to corn and they brought the corn tortilla chips. I guess you know now that you can ask them for the flour ones. They probably just mix them up for each customer. But the guac looks deliiiicious!

Did you get my Twitter when I was in Hawaii and had the Wailua Wheat ale? Totally reminded me of you!

I did get that tweet!!! That is my absolute favorite beer!!! I love it! Sadly it's only a seasonal beer, so I can't get it year round! But it sure is tasty!

Great pictures, and I like your wedding picture website too :)

Aww, thank you!

That sucks that you were allergic to corn and they brought the corn tortilla chips. I guess you know now that you can ask them for the flour ones. They probably just mix them up for each customer. But the guac looks deliiiicious!

Next time I know to ask when I order and not just assume that it's going to come with what it says on the menu! But yes, it's very good guac! Haha, if only I could use my snack credits at La Cava...

So the next morning we woke up and headed to the food court for breakfast! I got a Mickey waffle with strawberries

2891143190105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

The Boyfriend had the same croissant sandwich with a side of sausage that he had the day before, so I didn't bother getting another picture of the same food. However, I had no memory of taking a picture of the side of sausage the day before, so I went ahead and took one. Later in the day we were waiting at a bus stop surrounded by a bunch of people, and I was looking at all the pictures on my camera... when I saw that I had indeed gotten a photo of the sausage photo the day before I exclaimed, "Oh! I did take a picture of your sausage yesterday!" And after the words came out of my mouth I realized how bad they sounded... and I became very aware of all the families around us.

The Mickey waffle was just as good as I remembered!!!!!

After breakfast, we got on the bus and headed to Animal Kingdom!!!

It was crazy humid when we got there and I had trouble seeing because my glasses were fogged up.

The first thing we did was go to the gift shop so The Boyfriend could buy some batteries for his camera! To test his new batteries, he took a picture of me getting out my camera

And then he took a picture of himself

When I got out my camera, the lens immediately fogged up because of the humidity. So we just kinda sat around waiting until my lens stopped fogging up and I was finally able to take pictures.

First stop... Kilimanjaro Safaris!!!!!

When we got on the safari vehicle and started on our way, The Boyfriend started feeling bad that my DSLR with a telephoto lens was better than his little point and shoot. So he gave up on taking pictures of the animals all together, and instead decided to take pictures of me taking pictures of the animals. So the photos of the animals were taken by me, and the photos of me were obviously taken by The Boyfriend

We saw a baby giraffe:

And then we saw a baby elephant (of course later we also saw an animatronic baby elephant!):

And we also saw a baby rhino:

Last time we went on this ride, the driver we got on the safari was terrible!! He didn't get into it at all and he just unenthusiastically delivered the lines. The lady we had this time was much better! So we were pleased about that. Plus seeing all the baby animals was really cool!

After we got off the safari, we decided to do the Pangani Forest Trail since it was right there.

When we were looking at the fish, I overheard a little boy ask his mom, "Can we buy them?" and I thought it was cute, so I went to tell The boyfriend, but he just pointed his camera at me and wasn't listening to what I was saying so I made a face

All the bamboo on the trail made me feel like I was on the island from Lost, so I texted my mom a picture to show her

(My mom is seriously the biggest Lost fan ever...)

My phone started being weird then. It was having trouble sending the text and it started draining the battery like crazy.

The Boyfriend used the viewscope thingie to see the meerkats.

I just used my telephoto lens

Eventually we got to the gorillas! I was standing next to a mom and overheard her tell another lady that her kids said the gorilla looked like their Uncle Phil and that she was really confused because they don't have an Uncle Phil...

I started giggling to myself because I knew exactly why her kids said that! They'd been watching Must Do Disney! Every time we go to WDW, The Boyfriend and I always turn on the Must Do Disney channel in our hotel room and just let it play over and over and over again in the background. Well, if you've never watched Must Do Disney, the host Stacey looks at a gorilla and says, "He kinda looks like my Uncle Phil"

While we were there, one of the gorillas beat his hands on his chest and roared! I didn't get a picture of it, but it was pretty neat to see!

I did get this shot though

After we finished the Pangani Forest Trail, it was about time for our lunch reservations, so we headed to Yak and Yeti!

I had a Yak Attack

2248728700105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

Still one of my favorite frozen drinks at WDW! I did see on the menu that they had alcoholic snow cones!!! I didn't get one this trip, but next time I go to Yak and Yeti, I definitely want to try one!

The Boyfriend got a beer. I'm pretty sure it was a Safari Amber, but I'm not positive.

To eat, The Boyfriend got the Kobe Beef Burger

He said it was really good, but he doesn't like shoestring fries. I on the other hand LOVE shoestring fries, so I ended up eating most of his!

I got the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp

It was really, really, really good.... but it was so much food!!!!

We were both so full by the time we finished our entrees! For dessert, we both got the Fried Wontons

2113279950105608304S600x600Q85.jpg

They were soooooooooooo good! We were both so full we started to feel sick before the dessert even came out, but we both cleaned our dessert plates it was just that good! I would say it would be worth going to Yak and Yeti again just for this dessert! If I were to go to Yak and Yeti again, I would definitely order a smaller entree! While my food was delicious, it was just way way way too much!
