Glad to hear you had a good time at Martha's Vineyard. I know I'd love to see pictures so I hope you'll post at least a few of them.

Too bad you didn't get to take a Magical Express bus this time but, like you said, at least you were on your way to Disney. Yay! for having finally seen a real live Florida gator.

You really did have an awesome room location. The room was beautiful!

Haha, we were in building 4 too! But we were further away from the food court and on the ground floor. I was surprised at how quiet it was still considering we were on street level.

Our room looked...exactly like your room but flipped! The beds faced the other way. LOL.

Sorry you didn't get the ME bus. I only got the ME bus once on our way back! On the way there were got a Mears van so at least you got to travel to WDW in some style.

A friend of mine just went to Martha's Vineyard! She raved about everything. She even got me a t-shirt from The Black Dog. You probably know all about it!

A friend of mine just went to Martha's Vineyard! She raved about everything. She even got me a t-shirt from The Black Dog. You probably know all about it!

Ha! That's awesome! Yeah, every time I go to MV I always have to eat at The Black Dog! Plus I own so many different articles of Black Dog clothing it's ridiculous!!! This year I entered my pug in the "Black Dog Lookalike Contest" he didn't win, but he did get a free bag of dog bones just for participating!!!

eeyore7360nc- it's exciting to see more folks from the Triangle!!!

Anyway... onto the TR!

So we made our way to the boat dock so we could ride the water taxi to DTD! Of course, I had to snap some pictures on the way there! (With my Lensbaby)

We were so close to everything it hardly took any time at all to get to the boat dock! We got in line and I immediately pulled out my phone and started texting my mom to tell her about how much fun I was already having at WDW!

It wasn't long before a ferry came!!!

We boarded and started making our way to DTD!

The boat ride was sooo nice and sooo relaxing! Such a cool experience! I loved it! My favorite part was riding by the Treehouse Villas!

Pretty soon we got a great view of DTD!

Our boat docked, and we got off and were greeted with this lovely sign!

We were soooo hungry, so the very first thing we did was head straight to Earl Of Sandwich. We both got The Original 1762 (fresh roasted beef, cheddar cheese and creamy horseradish sauce)

OMG! It was sooooooo good! I was expecting it to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had based on reviews I've read and photos I've seen, but it somehow managed to surpass my expectations! Amazing sandwich! The Boyfriend loved it every bit as much as I did!

For dessert The Boyfriend got the chocolate pudding (and of course started digging in before I could get a picture!)

He's not a big fan of sweet foods in general, but he enjoyed his pudding.

And I got a brownie sandwich.

It was hands down the best brownie I've ever had in my life! It was really freakin good!!! But it was so rich I couldn't finish it all. So I packaged the rest up to eat later! (I ate a little bit each day the rest of the trip and ended up finishing it here at home. Every bite was scrumptious!)

It was our very first time using the dining plan and I guess we were both a little anxious about it, but everything went smoothly!


With our stomachs full of yumminess it was time to do some shopping!!! Our first stop was Mickey's Pantry! Partly because it's attached to EOS, but mostly because I wanted stuff for our kitchen!!!

I bought...

-A kitchen towel

(I got the blue one)

-A clean/dirty dishwasher magnet

-A wine stopper

And I'm pretty sure that's all... but I may be forgetting something!

Then we went to the Days Of Christmas store and I bought a sorcerer's hat ornament for our tree!

We looked around some of the other stores, but then headed towards West Side since we'd never been to that part of DTD before!

On our way there we stopped at Pleasure Island and I got a Kungaloosh!

It was absolutely delicious! Very pricey, but one of the best frozen drinks I've ever had!

We decided to sit down and take a break while I enjoyed my beverage. We goofed off and took pictures of each other!

After I finished my drink, we continued onto West Side, stopping every now and then to take some pictures...

It was sprinkling a bit... but the sky was all dark and cloudy! And there was a possibility of thunder, so the Characters In Flight balloon was grounded.

When we got to West Side, we realized just how freakin crowded it was!!! DTD was packed!!! There were people everywhere! It was the Sunday before Labor Day, so we figured it was mostly locals.

We stopped in Magnetron...

But couldn't stay long because it was just wall to wall people! It was insane!!! We could hardly move it was so crowded!

I saw these adorable apples in the window of the Candy Couldron on our way out of Magnetron

We wanted to check out some of the other shops, but it was just way too crowded so we decided to head back to the Marketplace.

Looks like a fun and productive time at DTD, and you just got to WDW too!

According to AllEars.net it has Strawberry Daiquiri mix, orange juice, Captain Morgan's spiced rum and blackberry brandy! It is so good!

I really like the dish towel you bought! I will probably have to look for it one day.

They sell the dish towels online at DisneyStore.com But it looks like they only have the green one available...

This was our 2nd time going in September and we love it! It's our favorite time of year to go!

So we wanted to have a few drinks at one of our absolute favorite restaurants... T-Rex! But the line was pretty insane

So we decided to wait until after the dinner rush to see if it got any better.

So we just wandered around DTD for a bit. I pulled out my Holga to get some pics!

But I had to get pics with my Lensbaby as well!

Then we decided to go to Goofy's Candy Co!

I decided to do one of those Create Your Own treat thingies! I really wanted the marshmallow one... which was the only one you can use DDP snack credits for! But I decided I'd pay OOP because I wanted to save my snack credits for later.

Haha, big mistake! I had no idea I'd be so full from the DDP the entire trip that I'd really not want any snacks and by the end of the trip I'd be having trouble using up the last of the snack credits!

I picked up a card and filled it out. I wanted marshmallows dipped in white chocolate, covered in oreos and then drizzled with more white chocolate! I got in line to place my order!

Then we waited around a bit for them to make my treat! Just like the rest of DTD, it was insanely crowded! So it took a good long while for them to finally start making mine! But while we waited we entertained ourselves with the funhouse mirror!

Finally my marshmallows were ready, so we found a table outside to eat at.

It was sooo good! It was too rich to eat it all, but I took it back to the room and ate it later. The cute Mickey straw was all covered in marshmallow so I ran it through the dishwasher at home. Not the best idea... It's all warped now!

While I was eating my marshmallow, The Boyfriend got excited because we were next to a kiosk that only sold items for left-handed people. Since he's left-handed, he took a picture of the kiosk.

After I was done eating, we decided to head back to T-Rex to see if the line was any shorter. It wasn't. And there were no seats at the bar. So we decided we'd have to come do T-Rex later in our trip.

Instead we headed over to the Margarita Bar! The Boyfriend got a Habanero Margarita.

And I got a Wildberry Margarita.

Both were tasty!!

After we finished our margaritas, we got on the water taxi and headed back to POFQ. The ride at night was pretty cool! It's a bit creepy because you can't see anything at all! It's just pitch black! I kept thinking we were surrounded by alligators!!!

When we got to POFQ, we went to our room and dropped off our shopping bags and my camera bag and stuff. Then we headed to Scat Cat's!

We absolutely loved Scat Cat's!!! We ended up going there frequently throughout our trip! The atmosphere was great, the bartenders were fantastic! It was just a great little place!

The Boyfriend got an Abita Amber Beer

It was really good and both of us ended up getting several during the trip!

I got a Raspberry Rain cocktail

It was very refreshing!!!

After finishing our drinks, we went back to our room and went to bed! We were very eager to get up early and head to Epcot in the morning!!!



So I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Texas! The Boyfriend's cousin is getting married and we're going to the wedding! So I'll be back next week to continue with my TR! I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and a Happy Halloween!!!

I interrupt this TR to bring you a few updates!

First of all, the wedding was fantastic! I had a great time! The ceremony was beautiful, the food was delicious, the cake was yummy, the dancing was fun, and best of all... open bar!!!

The Boyfriend's family was all very nice and welcoming! I took some pictures which I'll probably post in a couple days if you guys would like to see them!

I had a pretty uneventful Halloween. We got 0 trick-or-treaters! None whatsoever! The worst part was there were trick-or-treaters going around our apartment complex... just none of them came to our door!!!! We had on all the lights in the whole place and tons of Halloween decorations out! But still, no one came to our door! And because I spent all weekend traveling for the wedding, I didn't really have time to get a costume together. Oh well, hopefully next year will be better!


So, as promised, I have some pictures I took in Martha's Vineyard!!! I went with my mom and dad, my pug Fernando and my parents' german shepherd Jack.

Then on the drive home we stopped in Baltimore and visited Charm City Cakes... the bakery from the show Ace of Cakes on Food Network! Here's a picture of me and Fernando outside the bakery!

And now back to your regularly scheduled WDW TR!

So the week before our Disney trip, my work schedule had me waking up very early each morning! So that first morning at WDW, I quickly learned that my internal clock was still set to wake up early!

I woke up around 7 am and kept trying to go back to sleep but couldn't. The Boyfriend was still sound asleep and I didn't want to wake him up. So I got up, got dressed and decided to take my camera out and get some pictures around the resort! (I did wake up The Boyfriend briefly to let him know where I was going so he wouldn't wake up and freak out that I was gone!)

Here are some of the shots I got (all with my Lensbaby):

It was great! There was hardly anyone around! I then decided to switch Lensbaby Optics, and put my Fisheye Optic in! (This Optic ended up being a favorite for the whole trip!)

I then headed back to our room and found that The Boyfriend was up and getting dressed. So we got ready and headed to the food court for breakfast!

The Boyfriend got a sandwich on a croissant and a side of sausage

I got some beignets!!!

Because they make them fresh, once you order you have to go wait for them to be made. It wasn't that long of a wait, but we ordered our food at the about the same time and The Boyfriend had already gotten his food, gone through the line, paid for his food, filled up his mug, and sat down and started eating before my beignets were ready. But I tell you, they are well worth the wait!!!

Mmm mmm mmm! So good! Sadly, I wasn't really in the mood for beignets the rest of the trip! So I didn't get them again. But of course, awhile after I got home I started craving them! Hopefully on my next trip I'll be more in the mood for them and get them more often!


After we ate, we made the short walk back to our room and started getting ready for our day at Epcot!
