Cameryn is a two year old girl who was diagnosed last summer with a brain tumor after going into the hospital for an ear infection. Twenty four hours later she was in surgery with a 50/50 chance of surviving the surgery. The doctors told her parents that even if she survived the operation that she would most likely be blind and never walk again.
Well, not only did she survive surgery, she fought as hard as a two year old could fight and can see and almost walk again. Six weeks ago, they went back to the hospital for a scan because Cameryn was fussy. Ended up being CLEAR and they attributed her fussiness to a virus.
Monday was her official 6 month check up scan. Everyone was confident it would be clear. Unfortunately, it wasn't. In just 6 weeks, the tumor grew back to be the size of a marble and has polyps associated with it. The doctors conferred with the top doctors in Canada and US and have decided that there is no hope for cure.
In just six weeks, this family has gone from the TOP of the world (survivor) to the bottom. They don't know how long she has but it isn't much.
Please pray for a miracle for Cameryn and strength for her family. I really hope the power of prayer can work this time... She is only two.
