I am watching Sandra Lee cooking show

I like Sandra's money saving meals show, but I think she is way too into her drinks.

Love Paula, can't explain it, just do.

Rachel is ok, she just talks to much.

Ina, eh she is ok. I mostly watch when I know her husband is going to be on, he is a cutie.

I don't like the Nealy's at all.

I like Ina's recipes but not her show. There is something about her voice or pacing that bothers me and I gotta say that I find Jeffrey creepy.

Sweet little curly haired Jeffrey, creepy? Say it isn't so! :sad2: He's so agreeable. All he likes to do is read the paper and eat whatever Ina makes him. He's so harmless and cute, like a puppy. Gosh, I never, ever thought I'd be defending Mr. Ina on a message board with such passion! :rotfl:

And something about Ina's voice makes me want to take a cozy nap, and then have whatever she's making on my kitchen table when I wake up. Doen't that sound nice? :cloud9:

I agree with you, the voice, the laugh (UGH!) and the snootiness are all too much for me.

I love Giada. I don't agree when people that say you have to be overweight to be a great cook. I love to cook, but I don't scarf it all down. I especially wouldn't do it on camera. I imagine she feels the same way. I make a ton of her recipes and they are all top notch.

On the other end of the spectrum, I love Paula Deen, too. I make her recipes more than anyone else on FN. Can't go wrong with butter.

I used to like Rachel Ray, but now she's just annoying. Here talk show is torture to sit through.

Sandra Lee has had a rough upbringing. Her parents were both very ill and I think she was raised by her aunt. She basically had to be the mom to her younger sister. (If you give me a minute I can Google her for you.) As for her being so skinny? I believe the alcohol has everything to do with that. She does seem to like her cocktails! Her recipies sound gross to me, but I highly doubt FN would provide a spit bucket for her.

I'd think imbibing often would plumpen you up. A good deal of the weight I gained in college was from the booze and not just the cafeteria food and pizza.

Of the cooking ladies, I like Nigella and sometimes Rachael.

I'm not a fan of Sandra Lee's recipes - I love cooking Ina's recipes. Giada has some great ones, too. I guess I'm in the minority here - I don't think Sandra Lee or Giada are too thin. I think they have cute figures.

My heart belongs to Alton Brown- I love how he mixes his cooking with science.

Sandra Lee has had a very hard upbringing. I have her book about her childhood on a waiting list at the library. I wouldn't be surprised if it is linked to that somehow...

I like her show, I get some good ideas that come off of hers. I love her table scapes, but even for someone NOT on a budget (definately not me:goodvibes), they're crazy! Where would you even put all that stuff once you bought it?? :)

i used to work at a publix that had cooking classes and demonstrations (aprons) in the store. lots of the "celebrity chefs" have been there and the 3 nicest, most down to earth were sandra lee, paula dean, and michael chiarello. :)
sandra lee caused a near riot with her "niceness"!!! she was letting people in for free, which cramped and upset the paying customers!!
publix ended up giving refunds and not inviting her back :rotfl: my niece who was a teenager at the time thought she was just wonderful for inviting her in and even having her up front helping her for a while!!!!!

What's wrong with that? ;) I think her cocktails are the best part of her show...LOL

I LOVE Bobby Flay! That's the only show I can get DH to watch...:rotfl:

Watch her halloween special. It is nothing but a massive display of her assets. My women's group had a field day with all her outfit changes, they had to match her tables. Her food is not very good to me. Alton Brown and Paula Deen are my favorites.

LOVE Paula! I met her 2 years ago and she is really a pretty lady and thinner in person!
Ina needs new clothes. Always the same shirts. And stop with the "really GOOD vanilla". Poor Jeffery.
It really bugs me when they all speak in accents for select words. UGH!

I'll tell you what else bugs me about SL. She always wears these pretty, flowy, white clothes. She is opening cans of spaghetti sauce, stirring greasy pans, etc. Yet her clothes always look clean. I just don't believe it. I figure she has four of the same outfit and continually puts on a clean one. I hate it.

Well Ina rolled out muffins on a flour covered counter in a BLACK shirt today:eek::rotfl:
NOT ONE SPECK of flour got on her shirt....I would have had white hand marks all over me:laughing:

We got to meet Sandra Lee last year at a small book signing here( we are in the middle of nowhere so I was surprised to see her) she couldn't have been nicer! She brought food for all us!! And signed the books- chatted with my tween daughter and I for a long time. She is a genuine nice person. And she looked thin but healthy when I saw her.

I was never a fan until I saw her Chefography. Man she had an interesting and difficult life - she clearly made lemonade out of the lemons in her life!
