I was too cold in bed. DH stole the comforter from me, and the dog is lying on the spare throw I keep on the bed to use in case DH hogs up the whole comforter.

I couldn't take either one of them anymore so I'm in the living room with blanket around me. I put the heat on too. How will I survive the winter with those two cover-hogs?

I am up early because my DH was snoring so loudly that he also woke up our DD down the hall:headache::headache:

We're up--He is still asleep:mad:

I really like the heated mattress pads

I know how you feel.

I'm up early this morning because DH had to go to his guard drill and left at 5ish, he bangs around getting read to leave for a 1/2 hour before going. Then DD's alarm kept going off so I had to get up twice to shut it off... Not sure how it got set in the first place. And THEN the dog started whining in her crate to go out. Poor thing probably did have to pee, but dangit, I've got a cold, and getting up quickly when you're pregnant is a BAD thing. (at least for me)

Sorry bout the covers OP.

Nette- I saw in your sig you are at 8 weeks. I remember 7 to around 9 weeks was rough! We had a trip planned to Vegas and I had to fly at 7 or 8 weeks. I never felt so horrible in my life! At work I actually found an empty office and napped for 2 hours. Then when I was finally feeling better my niece have me a stomach flu. I just want to let you know I feel for you and it will get better VERY, VERY soon!

I've looked at those. They can adjust for both sides of the bed, right?

Yes- look for the ones that say "dual control" sunbeam makes one.

I often don't even keep it on all night -just heat up the bed and then turn it off before I go to sleep.
Or keep it on the lowest setting

DD does this to her poor DH all the time.. LOL..

I prefer to sleep in a cold room - with no heat - so it wouldn't bother me at all..:goodvibes

Maybe you should tell your DH that you're going to ask Santa for your "own" bedroom..:rotfl::rotfl:

I have had this issue before. We each had our own comforter.

Us too, DH likes to wrap himself up like a burrito in the comforter so we each need our own. Although if he drops his on the floor he will wiggle over and try to steal mine, or worse accuse me of stealing his.

What's a comforter?

What's a comforter?

Braggart! :rotfl:

OP - Maybe you could sleep in a Snugglie? If someone finds an answer, let me know. DH kicks the covers off the end of the bed, so I have to get out of bed and drag them up off the floor when I get cold.

You don't have an extra comforter for when guests come over that you can use? I would just get my own comforter to survive the winter. Once I get married, I have a feeling I'll use my own anyway, because I love to roll myself up in a nice warm down comforter, even in the summer.

BTW, getting up at 7:20 is not early. I get up at 4:30 in the morning, to me, 7:20 sounds like heaven.

YOU should talk. ;) :rotfl2: Celebration...:woohoo:

When it starts getting cold at night, DH and I each have what I call an "auxillary blanket." The sheet and comforter goes over both of us. Then he has a fleece blanket on his side and I have an afghan. If the shared comforter gets pulled either way, the other person still has their auxillary blanket to wrap up in. This is how we've stayed married for 21 years!

We have a spare blanket because DH does this often, but the problem is that the dog took over it this morning, and I was left in the cold.

I solved that problem by being single ;). But back in the day when I lived with my then-boyfriend, we each had separate comforters and if he somehow lost his and tried to take mine (and somehow succeeded), I'd simply wake his butt up and get it back. He only did it a couple of times before he figured out that it was easiest for all concerned if he kept his thrashing to a minimum and just kept hold of his own comforter.
