I am sooooooo excited

A bit of background: when I joined my present company 10 years ago I worked for a great team of people led by two of the nicest bosses you could hope for. It was a very busy and demanding job but I loved it anyway, sadly things took a downturn in the business and the team were made redundant. I also asked to be made redundant as I couldn’t imagine staying without them but as there was another secretarial position open it was refused. Luckily for me the new boss I was given also turned out to be a really nice guy and the team are all okay and easy to work with but the job is so boooooooring! I have been bored out of my skull for the past two years. I’ve really only stayed because I like my boss, the hours are easy and I’m well paid. Anyway, Wednesday my two old bosses call and invite me to lunch, nothing unusual in that as I’ve met up with them a few times over the past couple of years but no sooner had I sat down and got the pleasantries out of the way they only turned round and offered me a job. Their secretary resigned on Wednesday and they want me to take the job.

I can’t tell anyone here until I hand in my notice! So, here I am sharing it with you guys. I'm going back to my two old bosses plus half the old team and the buzz of having a demanding role again, I’m so excited I’m literally off the walls.

I'm going to meet with their HR on Monday evening and hopefully get the offer in writing so I'll then hand in my notice on Tuesday which means I should be able to start beginning of November This will give me about five weeks to settle in before I'm off on our trip.
