I am sooooo ready to go back to work

My work has been closed ALL week! We got hit really hard with these 2 blizzards. There is over 4 feet of snow in my yard right now. Luckily we haven't lost power but I'm sooo ready to get out of the house and get back to normalcy! There is only so much cleaning one can do.

Well, for those of us that did go back to work today, commuting was a nightmare. With metro running on limited schedule, and the outside stations in Montco and Fairfax closed, and limited lanes going into the district (one lane on the TR Bridge going to Constitution Ave), you can imagine...

I'm back at work. It is very busy....

I left my house at 5:15 and was at work at 6:00 a.m. (driving). There were more people out than I expected but we were clear all the way across the 14th St. Bridge.

A coworker just got in who left the house at 8:00 a.m. and took Metro. It was a 3-hour commute on Metro.

tnkldinpants, yes that was me. I wanted a good snowstorm. Turns out I got 3, 2 in a row. It was too much of a good thing. I'm done with winter now. lol

Breaking news on Fox5 - Red Line Metro train derailed at the Farragut Station. No injuries.
