I have been lurking on these boards now for awhile and I am so close to calling Jim McCoy and getting the ball rolling. I have talked to him several times and I've learned so much from you all. I still have alot of questions as I read your posts. One silly questions is we usually get a courtyard view room with two queenbeds we have 7yr and 9yr old girls. Are the studio rooms much bigger than the regular hotel rooms. Will we grow out of it fast and need the 1 bedroom??? Also my biggest questions is Jim said he could get our points back from dec say 200 and then we will get new points this Dec 2001 right? So we need to either use the 2000 point in the next 8 months, bank them or sell them. Is this right? We were just at the WL in Dec. and it always takes such planning and its kindof overwhelming to think we could be going again this year? Is it easy to sell the points to somone for this year yet?? Ok enough questions for now but I have more.

Maybe I can help give you a gentle nudge. The studio's do appear to be larger than a regular room. You also get the mini kitchen with microwave and fridge. However, the studio's at the VWL have 1 queen and a full size folding couch bed. So you are losing sleeping space. We bought enough points for a one bedroom for 8 days in January. We wanted more privacy from our two kids 9&10. The problem is they are boy & girl. We now would like to add 70 points so we may get a two bedroom for the week we usually go.

It's like boating. Once you figure out what size you want, go one bigger at purchase time!

By the way, we are glad we did the DVC purchase. We only wish we bought sooner. :)

The WL rooms have 340 Sq feet, the VWL studio is 356 Sq feet, almost the same size. The biggest hit is the double size sleeper sofa, vs a queen bed, and the kitchenette as Disnydad said.

Hi Lorilovesdisney!

I understand why you would hesitate and need some time think buying DVC but you aren't the only one who has felt that way. We kicked the idea around for a while before we decided to make the call. But believe me, you won't regret it!! Hope to welcome you home soon.

Good luck and pixie dust to you!!!
