I told her her outfit was tooo cute, and she couldn't wear it again. She just laughed at me.

I feel your pain. my older dd is almost 14, I'm used to her looking like a teenager. younger dd is 12 and just starting to have that grown up look, and I am so not ready for it.

Oh my, you are all for such "FUN". My dd's are 21 and 22. At 12, 13 & 14 I thought "teenagers are so much fun, why does everbody complain about them". Then came age 15!!!!! We all lived through it, but there were times I wondered if it would happen! Good luck. There are lots of great times too, they just grow up too fast!

Just wait until she has her first date. I was a nervous wreck. DD came home and told me how he kept trying to kiss her. Fortunately, I don't believe in guns! It worked out okay. DD handled it just fine. She told him that she wasn't interested in having that kind of friendship. Shortly thereafter, we moved 1500 miles away! It's a shame you can't just lock them away until they're grown.

My DD just turned 8 and I am SO not looking forward to her teenage years! I will be a mess!!

my mom is constantly telling my dd to stop growing and of course dd laughs at her too!!!

Hug her an extra time just for laughing at you....that will serve her right!!!!

My DD just turned 10. One of my DS's - age 11, friends told her yesterday that a boy in his class had a crush on her and that the next time he came to his house to play he was to get himself invited over to our house for a swim so he could see her in a bathing suit! Another one of DS's friends told him his sister was hot. They are 10 and 11 for crying out loud! Where do they get this stuff. I swear their parents let them watch too much MTV or something! DD just rolls her eyes.

Kelsea tells me the boys at her school have cooties./yucky whatever. She has her heart set on Orlando Bloom. I gotta admit, she's got great taste.

My oldest dd will be 9 in October. She's started to want to carry her own purse which includes her cool sunglasses and case, a little disney store radio, her wallet and a hairbrush. Then she tells me the other day, that I need to get her a fingernail file because one of her nails broke! I must have given her that dazed and confused look because she proceeded to tell me that if she'd have had a nail file, she could have filed off the sharp edge and it wouldn't have broke!! (In other words, I guess it's my fault! ) I didn't know whether to laugh or cry because a) she looked so dramatic and was dead serious or b) because one of my babies is growing up. *sigh*

Pass the margaritas guys and gals, it's going to be a wild ride!!

I feel for all people who have daughters. I have 4 daughters. They are 10, 6 and 10 month twins. My oldest has recently started going to the nail shop with mom to get her manicures and pedicures. With all these women in this home, I need a son like Stiffler(American Pie) to help me balance things out.
