Does anyone else have this issue?

I have a carpet guy that was supposed to come out last Wed to patch some carpet that my cats destroyed while we were out of town and he never showed. I called and they said "ooppss we have you on for NEXT Wed" well today is the NEXT Wed I called yesterday to confirm they said " yep they will be there between 8 and 8:45 AM" well guess what? its 10:06 and NO SIGN of them!
I called an hour ago and they said " we'll find out and call you right back" well that was an hour ago and still no call.

Yesterday it was the curbing guy who was an hour late.

What has happened to customer service????

This happens to my Dad all the time. I've never had a "no show", just "really late shows".

Customer service is almost non-existent these days.:(

Let me guess. Someone over the age of 18 MUST be there to read your formal post at that time?

I feel your pain. I just moved and I've waited for: the cable guy, the telephone company, the furniture delivery folks, and my new mattress delivery (twice because they brought the wrong box spring the first time.) Each of these people wants me to sit home for a 4 hour block of time and then come half an hour after that time frame. <sigh> I'm going to have to quit my full-time job just so I can be home when they decide to wander by.

I don't think I've ever had one that DID show up on time with the exception of the piano turner and the air-conditioner guy. It is especially annoying because I used to have to take time off work to meet with these people who then did not show up. They didn't even bother to call, so it was a day wasted sitting around at home doing nothing. Usually it required 2, sometimes 3 vacation days to get anything around the house fixed. It is as if your time does not matter to these people. DH got fed up and solved the problem with the plumber not showing one time by calling him at home at 2 AM! :teeth:
