I just reviewed my itenerary from Dreams Unlimited for Oct 31 - Nov 5 and not one night offers Wishes or spectromagic I cant believe how Disney has shortened the hours and not the cost of tickets. It's not like we could switch days to go THEY DONT even offer one!!!!
I'm hoping there will still be changes!

I would almost bet that itinerary is wrong. Go to the official site and check there. Good Luck!

Looks like you're going to be at WDW Sunday through Friday. Hopefully the itinerary is mistaken. But when my family when to MK a few years ago in late-Sept, the only days that MK had fireworks were Saturdays. As a result, MK was extremely packed on Saturdays.

I would not get too upset yet. The November hours have not been released, therefore, the wishes and spetro schedule has not be released either--not on the calendar available to the public, nor the CM site available to employees. Since spetro usually runs on a Saturday and you are not there on a Saturday, I suspect you might miss that, but can't believe that there won't be any showings of Wishes. In October we have to deal with the Halloween Party so that interfers with the schedule, but with the first week of November being popular, I would still think that there is a possibility that there might be a Tuesday or Wednesday night with Spetro. So be patient and wait for the calendar to be released--probably sometime next week. (I didn't miss something and the calendar was released for November did I?)

I just checked the disney site and the Nov. hours have not been released. They will probably be out in the next couple of weeks. Then you will be able to see if wishes and spectro will be scheduled. They definately won't on Oct. 31st due to mnsshp. Good luck for your Nov. schedule.:)

Please don't laugh at me, I've never been to Disney! Our first trip is the end of October!

What is Spectra and Wishes? I don't know anything about Disney, but I'm learning a lot from these boards. We are there from 10/30-11/3. Short first trip, but all the time I could take off!

Thanks!
Steph.

Spectro is a parade at night and all the floats and characters are all lit up.

Wishes is the fireworks by the Castle.

Both are not to be missed!

We go every November and I have seen both SpectroMagic and Wishes. I know I saw SpectroMagic on a Thursday Night and I am prety sure we saw Wishes on a Friday or Saturday Night.

Hope this helps.

The risk of missing fireworks and shorter hours is ALWAYS there in the offseason.

However, the shorter hours are offset by LESS people. I would rather have shorter hours then MORE people LOL!

I cant believe all the positive and encouraging replies you disney friends sent. Thanks for the info and I will keep checking. Thanks and have a disney nite:earsgirl:  :earsboy:

I think they have changed things up a little bit with Wishes vs. the old MK Fantasy in the Sky. Fantasy in the Sky was never offered on week days during September. But this year, Wishes is offered EVERY night in September. The only nights it is not offered during October are the ones that have a MVMCP ticketed event after the regular hours. They are pushing Wishes as much as they push Illuminations at Epcot. So, I expect Wishes will be offered in November almost every night.

I've never found the projected hours on wdwinfo.com to be reliable, which dreams unlimited probably uses. For example, they show MK as closing at 6:00pm on Saturdays in December. MK always stays open late on Saturdays since there is no MVMCP on Saturday nights. They go by the same dates the year before, but don't take into account that the days of the week don't match up (a Thursday date last year is Saturday this year). I wouldn't get upset until the official November hours come out, which will probably be in a couple weeks. Last year they ran Spectromagic on Tuesday night the first week of November (plus Saturday).

You all should go during peak times with the rest of us:} The shows are usualy offered more than once a night. Until finding these boards, I thought this was the case year round. I can't imagine going to WDW and not seeing it all! Call me crazy!

We went in November last year and Spectro and Wishes were shown on Tuesday and Saturday - I'm hoping it will be the same this November!

Wishes were performed every nite during our stay but spectromagic was notBy the way wishes are the best attraction in MK IMHO

I was so glad to see your post. We will be there Sat. 12/18 and it does show MK closing at 6, which I thought was early for a Sat. There is no MVMCP that night so I am hoping they will be open later, as we will only be there one night and I want to see as many Christmas decorations as possible. Wishes would be a nice bonus as we didn't see it when we were there in April. Do you know at what time they usually do it on Sat. in December?

Wishes is the absolute BEST fireworks show I have ever seen. It brings tears to my eyes. I even welled up when I saw a portion of it on a tv show.
