I am paranoid to go back to Michael's!

I hadn't been to Michael's for over 2 weeks since we had been on vacation (and an extended one due to Irene) so when we got back and things started to settle down I went to my "happy place" with ds just to walk around. When I was walking up to the register the manager came over to us and said that I should just get a job there and I would get a discount. He was telling me the different shifts they had, things I could do - oh, I was a scrap booker, why don't I teach classes? He even called up the class coordinator to meet me! It was too funny! Ds & I just stood there competing on who could turn red the fastest as he also told him he could get a job. (Ds is my asperger's kid) I did talk with the manager for a while and told him that right now was not a good time for me to work but maybe some day.

I guess they really do notice who is in the store more than others...I probably was in once or twice a week since it's not too far from home. I have my Mom out today and would love to stop in just to walk around, but now I am paranoid!!

p.s. After that we went to Barnes & Noble (again, hadn't been there for over 2 weeks) and one of the ladies at the register welcomed me with "welcome back stranger!" Ha! They are on to my ways...

We get recognized at the library and our local vietnamese place. The bad thing, I can call the Vietnamese place, tell the owner my name, and she knows what I want!

Look into teaching classes, that is fun and you get to set your schedule!

The problem I had with working in a store I love, is spending all my money there. When I worked retail for Disney, I spent every penny I made there....

Yeah, they know me at that Michael's too. But I'm known as the witch who expects items to ring up at the sale price....
