As of right now with all this Jon and Kate stuff going on and on and on and on.....

I am sort of on Jon's side

I know I am sure many are going to think I am crazy etc. but while I DO NOT condone what he did as far as cheating etc. Now he realizes something is wrong and we need to fix it for the sake of the children. For him to want to stop filming says something to me.

I never really watched the show very much until all this hub bub started. However, I never liked Kate. I think she is very controlling and a well I can't really say it on here

These poor children are who I really feel for, can you imagine years from now what type of therapy they are going to need to deal with this. Is Kate really thinking about the kids?

So is there anyone else out there willing to join me in saying that Jon might and I say that lightly might be right?

Admittedly I don't really keep up with this nonsense but I thought I had read he got let go, not that it was his decision.

Just based on the few things I have heard about them, they seem like they deserve each other.

I think Jon is out for Jon, Kate is out for Kate --- and they both just need to go away and solve whatever this is without the cameras.

I really don't even "get" the show anymore. The kids are no longer babies and there just isn't the drama of trying to manage 6 feeding/diapering schedules or whatever challenges that situation puts on people. Now they're just a large-ish family with a screaming shrew of a Mom and an unmotivated lump of a Dad. Big whoop.

Yep.....while he had his cake and got to eat it to....film away was his motto.

Now that the cake is still there, but he's not getting to eat from it.....Stop the money train and back up to the station.....this isn't good for the kids.

There isn't a pair of rose colored glasses I could wear, to make either of these parents get my vote of support for their stance.

I've never liked either of them much. Yes, she was a controlling witch on the show and not very likeable and he was a push over. I think they have both made mistakes for sure but his mistakes, IMHO are way worse than anything Kate has done thus far.

She may be going about this all wrong but I think she's in "mama bear" mode right now. He's in "what's in it for me? I'm going to get back at you no matter how bad it makes me look or no matter how much it hurts the kids" mode.

I wish they'd both get out of the limelight and stop talking to the press.

Having said all that, if I had to pick a side, it would be on Kate's.

All of my concern is for their children. Right now it seems as if neither of them are willing to forgo this craziness and just take care of their kids.

IMO, they BOTH have issues. Parents who choose to have their family life filmed for entertainment probably do so for the money and/or fame.... not because it is best for their children. The drama pre- and post- split is only part and parcel of showing who both Jon and Kate are as people.... not a pleasant sight.

Actually I got the feeling that when he was fired, he thought...you cant tape my kids now...take that TLC!....he hurt them in a pocketbook for firing him.

I think he is immature for being a father of 8 and in his 30's.

I think he's an idiot, because I thought the agreement was that if either of them wanted the show to stop, then it would stop, and he's the one who wants it to stop.

I don't like the idea of exploiting children, and I'm not sure if they are being exploited or not on the show, but if Kate doesn't have the income from the show, who's going to support them (Kate & the children)? Don't think he has thought of that yet. He just doesn't like the idea that Kate would get all the attention, by doing the show, and he won't.

He seems like one of the most self-centered people I know of.....it's all about him. Like I said, he's an idiot.

They are both abominations as far as parents/parenting goes. I think she is a relentless harpy who drove her husband away and a complete shill who sold her children to the highest bidder (and TLC is a shameful participant as well).

I think Jon is a weiner man-child who took the cheap loser way out of his troubled marriage by cheating on his wife. I maintain, anyone who is THAT unhappy needs counseling first and a divorce second, and cheating NEVER. No excuse to go outside the marriage, no matter how much of a relentless harpy your spouse is.

I don't watch the show...not one episode. It breaks my heart for those kids.

I just thought of a great question I wish all of these reporters interviewing Jon the past few days would ask him: "I realize you believe it's in the kid's best interest to stop taping the show now because of your 'ipifany', but can you please tell us how you plan on providing for your family without the show's income?"

I'd LOVE to hear his answer to that one. I'm surprised no one has asked him that question so far.

Why? 8 children families are unusual, but not that unique. There are plenty of parents out there with 8 kids who ..... work 9 to 5 jobs, put food on the table, have health insurance and provide for their kids without turning the house into a media driven circus.

She does not want to give up the million dollar house, the high end vacations, the nannies, the plastic surgery etc.

She can support the 8 kids, with his child support but not in the way the ***** wants to be supported. They still own the other house. Move back in and dump the million dollar house.
