I am one sad lady this morning

So, I woke up this morning super excited, I was going to put my deposit on a room only package. With mental plans to possibly add to it, or not (depending on what happens with special offers from now to travel dates) Well, the CM would not let me...she told me to wait until next week..Now I am trying to be optimistic and think she knows something I dont that will help me more next week.

I understand that the packages come out on the 11th, but my travel dates are a VERY busy time EASTER WEEK!!!! I mentioned that to her and she said that is why I am telling you the day to call back, humph

I am asking all of you wise Dissers out there, what should I do? After work should I call back and do it anyhow or wait until next week?

I agree with the CM. Wait until July 12th. That is about all that I can say.

You cannot book any kind of package for 2013 right now. You can only make a room only reservation and the deposit would be one night's cost at current peak season pricing (maybe holiday pricing-don't remember).

If you intended to make a room only reservation into a package as soon as the packages are released, it doesn't really make sense to do it now as you would be cancelling the original reservation and making a new one. Your original deposit would be returned and you would have to make a new one when booking the package.

Since you are going during a really busy week, I would do exactly what you wanted to do and call this evening and book a room only, that way you have the room that you want, you can cancel it next week and book a package if that room category is available. This way you are guaranteed to have the room that you really want.

but disney refunds take 3-5 days to hi our account if you dont have extra moneys you cant rebook!

Just wait until the 2013 packages are announced. It's highly unlikely that your particular dates for your particular resort will sell out the first day. It will work out!

I was thinking the same thing. The op is trying to book for next spring so I'm not seeing how this particular free dining deal is going to help her. Maybe I'm missing something too.

I don't think the OP was asking about Free Dining. And if the CM she spoke to thought that, then they weren't listening. She's looking for Easter 2013. Reservations are supposed to open up for 2013 on the 11th. It just happens that some discounts for 2012 are opening up about the same time.

My husband and I have planned our budget for worse case scenario, I would like to get a deal of some kind (free dining, nice room discount) however really all I want is to go ...lol

It is extremely rare for an entire resort to book up on the very first day it is available to book. The packages are not yet available and the average visitor doesn't book this far in advance. Remember, they just built a whole resort with mostly family suites plus you still have some at All Star Music.

another week isnt going to be that big of a deal. It may KILL you but Im sure the reward will be great.

Of course you could just do it on line and to get your confirmation then call back on July 12 to change if you need to.

So I called today, it went well no super deals to report However the CM who helped me was fantastic! He was singing when he came on the phone! I didn't choose a family suite at a Value, I got connecting rooms at Port Orleans. I am super happy going to Disney.

Now I don't want to make you sad again, but I do want to make sure that you know that connecting rooms are not guaranteed.

They try their best for you, but I have read enough posts here from people who checked in and didn't get them to make sure that other DISers realize this could happen (especially during busy Easter week), and for you not to have a heart attack at check in if it would happen to you.
