I booked the Swan and now I got my airline tickets. I know, I know, it's 6 months early! But I couldn't beat the rates. Nonstop from JFK to Orlando for a total of $925.00 for all 5 of us on Jet Blue. We love Jet Blue! I highly recommend them!

So now for the Swan...
Am I going to love it?? :)

Hi Divamom - When I started our countdown we were about 6 months away too. Now we are under 90 days. YEAH!! :D We will be staying at the SWAN for the first time too and have read many good things about it here on the boards. I know how excited you are. I felt the same way after we paid for our room and we have our AP that will still be good for this trip. I have a spreadsheet set up to list DH golf days, restaurant plans, etc. It is so exciting to begin to add PS confirmation numbers. Let your planning begin!!! If you are like me, you will change you mind hundreds of time about where you want to eat and what days you are going to do each park. ENJOY!!!! And have a trip that is full of Disney magic!

thanks Sherry!
I wasn't going to tell my kids, but the 11 year old heard my dh and I discussing flight times and I couldn't hold back any longer! LOL
They are already discussing how they're going to get me on the Rockin' Roller Coaster!

Is the pool open at the resorts in February? What's the weather like there?
Is there an indoor pool at the Swan or just the shared outdoor Grotto pool between the Swan and Dolphin??

I love both the S and D resorts - I believe you will like your stay very much. Just go with an open mind.

The Grotto pool with slide is the main pool for both resorts. There is a quiet pool close to the Swan and a lap pool near the Dolphin. There is a kiddie pool near the grotto as well as at least five hot tubs surrounding the grotto pool area. The pools are never overly crowded. There is no indoor pool.

Aside from the great pool, which is heated, the Swan is wonderful because of the location. It's right next to the Boardwalk and so close to MGM and Epcot. You can walk or take a short boat ride. The bus service to MK and AK is good too. Swan is the first stop on the route, so it will never be full. You also can walk over to Beaches N' Cream ice cream at the Beach Club. If that's too crowded, there's the Dolphin Fountain Shop at the Dolphin. There are just so many great things about the Swan/Dolphin hotels. Did I mention the LOCATION?

You're going to love your hotel! I just booked our return trip to the Swan and am so excited! We have to wait till APRIL. My only regret to the Swan is that I couldn't book for December, also.

You made a great choice! Enjoy your planning!
Debbie

You've got me even more psyched now!
I know all about the fabulous location because my last trip was to the Yacht Club. You just can't beat that whole Epcot Resort area and everything that is within walking distance.

Thankfully, I'll be crazy busy with being a soccer Mom to 2 sons on a total of 4 different teams and a tag-along 3 year old from September-November, then the holidays from November-January and just when the winter blahs will be in full force, I"LL BE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!

Yeee haaa!:bounce:
