I am now a mother of FOUR!!!!

As of 11:30 today, I am now a mother of four lovely children! We already had 2 adopted sons and today we had another son and a daughter placed with us for adoption! We were selected for them less than a month ago, and our heads are still spinning! Our first kids are 8 & 4, and our new ones are 6 & 4, so we now have 2 4yo boys.

So far, things have gone really really well. The kids are really comfortable and happy here and all 4 of them have hit it off wonderfully. No major wars or behavior issues, and the kids are entertaining each other and staying out of trouble. Any bets as to how long this will last?

I just wish dh didn't have to work late tonight! The timing really stinks because his work has their annual audit tomorrow, so he will be putting in some long hours. The kids wish he was here (he came for a little while at placement and they know him from our preplacement visits) and so do I and so does he. Oh well. We are just so excited! Now we just still need to work on getting a minivan and a table for six and we will be set!

I still can't believe how adorable all four of our children are and how well they fit with the family! They even look like us. God has really blessed our family!

BWVDenise - We used Texas Baptist Homes for Children. We LOVE them. They do foster and adopt and we were with them for all 4 children. Our first pair have been with us for 1.5 yrs and we are coming up on our first Gotcha Day on Aug 22 for their actual adoption date.

We still very much want the experience of having a baby, but God sent us these kids first and they are such incredible kids. This is not something I ever would have thought I would do, especially at 24, but it has been so great. It is not what I envisioned for my life, but so much better! Adopting older children has its challenges, but it is so rewarding. Nothing compares to the feeling of knowing that you have given your children a second chance at life that they may otherwise never have had.
