I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Just found your report and sat and read the whole thing tonight! Sounds like a fun day! The girls look so cute after their make-overs. I can just picture the whole 'bad bad baby' scenerio!

I couldn't agree with you more about the Mine Train. We absolutely loved it! We went into it knowing that it wasn't going to be a full-on thrill ride but felt that it went perfectly with the new Fantasyland.

I don't know why people would expect a thrill ride in FL? We loved it too and am glad we got another ride on it later in the trip.

I wanted to hug my computer everything is so perfect! Yes even if the girls wouldn't cooperate IT IS PERFECT!

Oh Mo....thank you.

I never had a dole whip

We tried our first one last year... we weren't fans.

the Mine train.. What can i say but i am over the the moon with excitement to see it.. also the new fantasy parade. love the dragon!

I want to be sure to see the parade in September; I missed it in June.

Hi girls!!

Hi Sara.

I had a very hectic end of the week and weekend, but I am all caught up!

I hear you on the hectic part.

What a beautiful mermaid and princess!! They both look beautiful! I am glad they had fun.

They really did have fun.

Love your pics with Ana and Elsa!

Thank you.

I think I remember your experience with POTC a few days later... :(

Yes, not a good day.

Hope you had a great weekend with Alisha and Mark, I saw some of the photos on FB!

We had a blast...too short though, as always.

Hmmm, you didn't like Pirates later in the week. I'm going to guess you ended up in the front row and soaking wet because that's what happened to Jim and I in May. I even ended up with water in my eyes and mouth because the wave was so big.

I could of handled being soaked (although we did get a bit wet on that first ride). Nope...that wasn't it.

I cannot wait to ride the Mine Train in October! That will definitely be one of the FP+ that Mom and I get because she is really excited too.

Mark is very excited to ride it and wants more than one FP+ for it.

That sounds ominous.

It wasn't pleasant.

As well they should!

Yes, especially since they didn't invite him. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's because one is a bad, bad baby.

:rotfl::rotfl: You got that right!

That's understandable. Always good to get a new experience.

I hope to get more pics next time.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I hope they aren't reading this. ;)

Sounds great! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

We really did!

Wow both the girls looks amazing!

:welcome: thank you for joining. They did a really nice job with their makeovers.

I can't wait to try the Mine Train, my girls have been seeing commercials for it and they are more excited than I am. pixiedust:

They are going to love it.

My mother and I are doing an all girls trip this December (it will be our second) and I am very much looking forward to it!

That will be so much fun (as long as she doesn't keep anything from your father again ;)).

Awesome report I can't wait to see whats up next :goodvibes

Thank you. :)

Your TR is the first I've read with a 7 dwarves ride included -- SO FUN!!!

I hope you weren't trying to avoid seeing pictures (I never thought of that).

You guys really look like you are having such a blast!! :yay:

We truly are. And it gets better.

:welcome::welcome: Darla; thank you for joining. I've seen you around the DIS quite a bit. It was a great day; they are the sweetest girls and they sure can make you laugh.

Just keeping up!!! Sorry about Mark, hope the severance pay is GOOD news !!!

Thanks, Rosie. I hope so too...it will make life a bit easier until Mark decides what he wants to do next.

This will be a short update as I wanted to get our first full day done (I'll do another one tomorrow)

It was sad to leave

but we knew we had a full day again the next day.

As most of you know, on Mark's and my annual trip, I buy a balloon in memory of my late Dad and give it to a child as we leave the park to go home. I thought for this trip, I'd treat the girls to a balloon...I knew dad would be smiling from heaven for that:

We caught a bus pretty quickly and were back to OKW within about 15 minutes or so. We went to the room and the girls wanted a snack. So after Cayley got out of her dress, we headed down to the little food stand by the pool.

Cayley had a

I think Avery had a strawberry bar (I don't seem to have a photo).

Mary and I had an adult beverage from

The pool area is so pretty at night

Up next, a wild day with a wonderful DIS meet

Ahhh Ending your night with a turtle krawl is my way to end a night.

I could use one right about now.

How nice for the girls to get balloons "from your dad". :goodvibes

Oh my gosh! The bad baby yogurt episode... :lmao: Too cute. Now I know how you got your TR name.

I love the Original D~! bags, very nice. I skipped all the comments so if this was answered oops! Did anyone ask you where you got those bags. I definitely would have.

Your TR is the very FIRST place that I have seen someone's photos of the Mine Train. It looks like fun.

It's always nice to end the day with a cocktail by the pool! What a great day.

Kathy, Do you know what I am going to say starting off?..... Almost what I always start off with; I love your trip reports. :thumbsup2

I do have to agree with you about the Mine Ride; it is perfect for where it is located in Fantasy Land. However, I will say that I did not go on the Mine Ride thinking it was going to be some thrill ride, I knew it wasn't. But for me I was a bit disappointed in it. Perhaps it was because twice we stood in line with a FP+ for over an hour each because of breakdowns only to walk away without riding it. Finally on the morning we did a CP breakfast were we able to be at the front of the line without a FP+ (we had one for later) and once again the ride was delayed in opening.... 1 1/2 hours later we finally got to ride the Mine Ride... It was cute, and I will ride it again, but it didn't blow me away... Oh well, we can still be friends with differing opinions. LOL

Now with that I will agree with you on Dole Whips... They are ok, but I am just not a big fan of them and won't wait in one of those long lines or travel too and fro to have one. :goodvibes

I saw your pictures on FB with your weekend trip to the zoo with Mark & Alisha... My goodness this past year has gone by fast for them. What a cute couple... I'm sure you and Mark are very proud of them. :)

What an awesome tradition you have when you go to WDW in honor of your father. And what better recipients to receive a balloon this year than those two adorable princesses you spent a week with. :goodvibes

I do not drink (alcohol that is), but if I did, those two drinks you and Mary had looked really good. I have to admit I love the name where you bought them, Gurgling Suitcase. :rotfl2:

What a great ending to a great night!
AND i spy someone with the D~ awesome bag!!!

The balloons are really cute. and yes your Dad would be proud of you.

The picture of Cayley with the Mickey Bar looks surprised! :rotfl: So cute!!!

What a nice ending to the day!

I love how you buy balloons in memory of your dad. Very sweet.

And you KNOW it's been a good day when you end it with a Turtle Krawl! YUM! I might have to make it over to OKW in September just to get one of those. :thumbsup2

The idea of the balloon in memory of your Dad is a cool idea.

I love your idea of giving away a balloon in memory of your dad and I think a great idea to get them for the girls this trip

Having an adult beverage pool side is definitely my idea of vacation - and getting to do that after a full day at a Disney Park is pretty much ideal :goodvibes

I was a couple updates behind, so I'll comment on both of them!

The dueling picture after PotC is adorable, as are the Dumbo ride pictures. I'm so glad you got to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I really enjoyed that one too. You're right that it isn't a thrill ride at all, but very well made and goes perfectly in Fantasyland.

I'm sure Avery and Cayley appreciated you mending your tradition slightly to have them receive the balloons, and I'm sure your Dad didn't mind at all either! :goodvibes

Aww, Kathy, I don't think, I know, your Dad was smiling at the fact that you bought the girls a balloon. That's so sweet of you to do in your Dad's memory.

I haven't followed your past trips so I didn't know about the balloon thing but that is just the sweetest thing to do. What a great way to honor your dad.

Ice cream is the right way to end the day. Or an adult beverage ;) Either way, good choices. Except now I want a mickey bar :(

Whattayaknow...I'm caught up.

Old Key West looks really lovely in the couple of pictures you posted of the buildings. :thumbsup2

Ahhh, so now I know where the TR title comes from. Poor Avery, with you two picking on her. ;)

I'm glad that Avery got to get into BBB, and hooray for the mine train!

Okay, super late to the party, but I am finally sitting down to read it all and get myself all caught up!!

Love the intro’s, and yay for competitive gymnast!! I miss that stuff!! Also props to being able to do back springs at 7!! I lost that skill a few years ago, bahahah! Hope the kids stick with it and really do enjoy it! It was definitely my favorite thing growing up and I was actually at an event watching my MOM perform the last few days! Lol.

15 minutes to get through everything! AWESOME!

LOVE OKW, seriously!! It was my first dvc resort that I rented at & I absolutely loved it there and hope I can stay there again sometime soon!

Looks like a lovely evening at MK to kick off the trip!

I actually REALLY like the mermaid look on the kids, I wonder, is there an age limit on that one? Lol!! I know there’s one at BBB, but not sure about PL and it’s definitely something I would do when I’m down there for a bit! Lol.

And lunch!! That’s somewhere else I would love to eat, it’s on my list!!

Looks like a great meet with the frozen girls! Love the hug picture with aurora! Awwee!! She looks SO HAPPY to be transformed into a princess! Brings tears to my eyes!! The girls look so beautiful!

YUM! Everything about CHH looks delicious! Can’t wait to eat there again! Ah that dumbo bag is super cute!! Ah mine train!! Glad ya’ll got on it!! Alright! All caught up, excited to read more!!

Great day Kathy
Glad you got to ride 7DMT, we got to ride a couple of times last month
Was it a Turtle Crawl you enjoyed .... I hope so!

Ahhh Ending your night with a turtle krawl is my way to end a night.

I can't think of a better way myself. :)

I could use one right about now.

I've needed one since I got back from the trip. ;)

How nice for the girls to get balloons "from your dad". :goodvibes

It made me feel good to do it for my girls.

Oh my gosh! The bad baby yogurt episode... :lmao: Too cute. Now I know how you got your TR name.

We had a lot of fun at poor Avery's expense.

I love the Original D~! bags, very nice. I skipped all the comments so if this was answered oops! Did anyone ask you where you got those bags. I definitely would have.

We had several people compliment us on the bags, a few asked us and we actually gave one gal D's site on FB so she could write it down.

Your TR is the very FIRST place that I have seen someone's photos of the Mine Train. It looks like fun.

It was (despite what Bob says below ;)).

It's always nice to end the day with a cocktail by the pool! What a great day.

Thanks, Brenda.

Kathy, Do you know what I am going to say starting off?..... Almost what I always start off with; I love your trip reports. :thumbsup2

You are too funny!

I do have to agree with you about the Mine Ride; it is perfect for where it is located in Fantasy Land. However, I will say that I did not go on the Mine Ride thinking it was going to be some thrill ride, I knew it wasn't. But for me I was a bit disappointed in it. It was cute, and I will ride it again, but it didn't blow me away... Oh well, we can still be friends with differing opinions. LOL

I don't know...give me a day or two to think about it. :lmao::lmao: I'm sorry you had such problems with getting on the ride; I'm sure I would have had a different first reaction if we ran into those problems too.

Now with that I will agree with you on Dole Whips... They are ok, but I am just not a big fan of them and won't wait in one of those long lines or travel too and fro to have one. :goodvibes

Give me a Mickey bar any day.

I saw your pictures on FB with your weekend trip to the zoo with Mark & Alisha... My goodness this past year has gone by fast for them. What a cute couple... I'm sure you and Mark are very proud of them. :)

I had a lot of fun with them; unfortunately, Mark didn't get to see much of them because he had 15 games over three days. I can't believe they've been married a year either.

What an awesome tradition you have when you go to WDW in honor of your father. And what better recipients to receive a balloon this year than those two adorable princesses you spent a week with. :goodvibes

They were the perfect recipients!

I do not drink (alcohol that is), but if I did, those two drinks you and Mary had looked really good. I have to admit I love the name where you bought them, Gurgling Suitcase. :rotfl2:

Isn't that a cute name for the bar?

What a great ending to a great night!
AND i spy someone with the D~ awesome bag!!!

It was a great ending, and I did have an awesome bag.

The balloons are really cute. and yes your Dad would be proud of you.

Thanks, Mo.

The picture of Cayley with the Mickey Bar looks surprised! :rotfl: So cute!!!

I think she too was getting tired of all of my picture taking.

Sounds like a wonderful ending to a very full day!

Thanks, Darla. It was a full day ending with one of my favorite adult beverages at Disney.

What a nice ending to the day!

Thanks!

I love how you buy balloons in memory of your dad. Very sweet.

Thank you; it makes me smile to do that for my dad.

And you KNOW it's been a good day when you end it with a Turtle Krawl! YUM! I might have to make it over to OKW in September just to get one of those. :thumbsup2

Can't end a day better; I hope you do get over to OKW for one.
