I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Kathy i am so very sorry for all this terrible news.. I really hope everything smooths out sooner then later!!! Prayers and thoughts to you always..

I'm sorry I'm late, but I'm here! Great beginning and intros, OKW looks so pretty and I'm dying to try Olivia's, everyone always talks about how good it is!

I'm so sorry for all of the bad news Kathy, I hope everything gets better soon! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

I'm here, and just read the Intro. I love it when somebody says they're going to take a break from DisneyWorld....by going to Disneyland!

Can't wait to see some pictures of Cayley and Avery.

Oh no, I just saw the bad news regarding Mark's job. So sorry to read that. Praying for you two. :goodvibes

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about Marks job and also with your mother. My thoughts and prayers for a new and better job for Mark and good health to your mother.

I promise I will get to replies as soon as I can.

Unfortunately, we had some bad news today. My husband was let go at his job. I only posted this on one of the Disney Facebook groups and not my home page because I am friends with some of Mark's former co-workers.

This on top of my mother having been in the hospital for the past week now.

Plus, I'm having issues with Memory Maker and getting the pictures uploaded to Facebook.

I am very sorry to hear this! I wish all the best to you and that Mark finds something else soon. Also that everything turns out ok with your mom!

thoughts and prayers!

Oh Kathy, I'm so sorry. I wish Mark all the best but I'm so sorry for how stressful it may be. You know we're right there with you. Praying for better days for the job situation and your mom. I just stuck out my tongue to the Memory Maker issue... I had a small issue last trip. Argh!

(Michael sends his love and best wishes too.)

Take care!

Great update Kathy! Feel like I'm right there with y'all!

Thanks, Alan.

I've always wanted to try Olivia's. We had an ADR for lunch there one day originally but we ended up switching it because we just couldn't get all the ones in that we wanted to visit. We are thinking that we probably won't be doing the dining plan on our next trip and going to Olivia's out of pocket for one of our sit down dinners.

I hope you can fit it in next time; it really is yummy.

Avery's colorful braces are just too darn cute.

I loved them

Love the view from your room. Did you see that your road location got XXXX out. :rotfl2: That's funny!

I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. And it took me a few minutes to figure out why. :lmao:

Cynthia and I ate both breakfast and dinner at Olivia's and I absolutely loved it. I will DEFINITELY be going back. the food was wonderful and the TK - well you know its one of my favorite trips on property.

We didn't have breakfast this time, but we did the first trip. I like all the food there.

OK - bring on the fun! :cool1:

I hope to get an update done soon.

Sounds like you had a similar experiences to what my dd had on our flights in January. On the way there... yeah luggage setting issues. On the way home.. lots of crying babies and young kids kicking the back of her seat. (may have worked well to stave off those grandkid ideas for a while)

I can understand a kick once in awhile, but this kid just never sat still!

I have to ask... when you refer to the road you are on at OKW... what is up with the ****? I know the road made us laugh each time it was said. Is that why?

I am assuming so. ;)

Great photos! LOVE your balcony.

Thank you.

Olivias is definitely great! I probably would never have gone there had I not stayed at OKW...so I am so glad that we did. I will be eating there again. :goodvibes

It's fast becoming a favorite of ours.

Great update!! I am working on trying to get what I want for ressie's for my January trip. The more I read the more I am thinking I want to make my ADR where we are staying.
Cant wait to hear more.

Thanks; where are you staying? I like eating at our resort...it keeps commuting down on certain days.

Great start! I love those wheat thins chips too!:thumbsup2 Nice to see you girls all together. :lovestruc I think with getting in that late, eating at the resort was a perfect choice, especially if you really liked it!:cool1:

Those darn things are addicting; I can't get enough of them. We really do like Olivia's.

You got some good shots from the plane! Mine never turn out very well.

I got lucky this time with my plane shots; normally mine don't turn out very well either.

It's the people who try to put everything in the overheads instead of checking their luggage, that slow down the boarding process. So annoying!

I personally think EVERYONE should check their luggage.

A couple of years ago, I was chatting with a CM who had worked for Disney for over twenty years. I asked him what his favorite restaurant on property was and his reply was "Olivia's." I've always wanted to try it, but haven't as of yet. It seems to get a lot of rave reviews and your meals looked very good.

That is so neat to know.

Your Turtle Krawl looks yummy. Great way to start a trip!

It was yummy and I could go for one now.

Great first day so far. :thumbsup2
Ah, kids kicking seats on the plane - one thing I really get annoyed by. And yes, I have been known for getting up and saying something. ;) Guess it is the teacher in me. :rotfl2:

I thought of getting up and saying something, but it was kind of hard with the snorer leaning on me. :rotfl2:

I LOVE to hear that you now love OKW so much. It is a beautiful resort, isn't it.

It's in our top three that's for sure.

And :cheer2: yeah for having dinner at Olivia's. What a hidden gem - couldn't agree with you more. And you always get a seat!!! :thumbsup2
Oh, and I nearly forgot to congratulate on your awesome choice of drink. ;)

Seats were a little harder to come by when we were there as they are remodeling, but we timed it well. Love that drink!

Can't wait for more.

Thanks, Karin.

Glad everyone arrived safe - even if your flight was a little "bumpy"

Nice pun there. ;)

Sounds like it was nice to start the trip a little low key and at a family favorite

Yes it was and it was the perfect way to start it.

Oh how OKW pictures make me smile. We absolutely adore this place, and I agree with you - Olivia's is a hidden gem and I can honestly say we had our best meal there our of all of our meals ever eaten at Disney. Those turtle crawls... yummo!! They don't taste the same at home though. Must be the pixie magic they use. ;) Great first day!

Tracy, I smile looking at the OKW pictures too. It truly is beautiful there, and love Olivia's. Hmmm...I may have to find that receipe again after what went down yesterday and try to make one.

Kathy - I am so sorry to hear about Mark's job. That must be so disheartening. I hope he has an excellent severance package and I even hope he might be in a position to retire. That, on top of your mother being sick, must be incredibly stressful. Hugs and prayers to you and Mark. I hope everything works out exactly how you want it too. Sending you some of this pixiedust:

 And we are started!!! Mary your girls are both beautiful and amazing!

Yep, we are started.

To all the ladies... I so very much enjoyed all the pics on FB!!

Thank you.

Kathy The more OKW pics the better!! I am getting a turtle crawl when I get there!!! And I was :lmao: at the road getting starred out, at first I was confused and then I realized what happened..too funny:rotfl:

More will be coming, I promise. You must have the Turtle Krawl. Heads up...drink it slowly as it can hit you fast. Just ask my husband. ;)

Yay! You are there and met up with the girls! I really love Olivia's....I just love OKW...it's such a relaxing place...the Turtle Krawls help. :)

Jill in CO

Yes, finally hooked up with my girls. It is a relaxing resort and those Krawls help relax you all the more...agreed.

Here! :)

:wave2: Camille.

And all caught up. I should be catching up on my own TR , but I thought I had better get my hiney over here and get with the program. I may be late and I may not always post but I'm always faithful to get here and read. :goodvibes

Thank you, Camille, we appreciate that.

Ms. Kat, it sounds like you had a not so fun flight, you should have looked over the top of your seat and given that little person a glaring look. :rotfl: He probably would have stopped after that!

As mentioned above, I couldn't glare because I had the snorer leaning on me. :rotfl:

I know how you feel about some stranger falling asleep on you. I had a really large woman sitting next to me on a plane who kept falling asleep and then slumping over on my shoulder, she fell asleep so hard at one point that I actually had to sit forward because she was leaning so far over towards me! :rotfl2:
So much so, I actually had to lean forward! :scared: Her head was where my shoulders should have been if I had been sitting back in my seat. And the funniest part....when she awoke, she didn't even apologize!! She acted like nothing had happened. :rotfl: Some people.

Heavens...how awful.

Thank goodness y'all found each other in spite of not having a tree. :goodvibes
I'm sure the tree is in the middle where there sky light is and all the palm trees are, am I right?

Yes, but we arrive at different terminals and always seem to screw up.

The girls are getting to be such beautiful young ladies, Mary.
I can't believe how big they are compared to when I first started reading about them.

Neither can I.

Cayley sounds like hoot. Just wait until the hormone related mood swings really do kick in. :scared: That's always a fun time. My poor husband doesn't know if he should run or go sail when it comes to the hormones in this household. You and poor Jeff. :guilty: Two young women in the house who are about to hit the hormone phase. :faint:

I can attest to Cayley being a hoot.

Awww, y'all are thinking about laying low with the Disney trips for a while. What in the world will we all do without y'all traveling to Disney a few times a year?!? Who will we all live vicariously through?!?

If we do a Disneyland trip next year (which now with Mark's work situation may not happen), Mary and the girls will hopefully join us so you will get a TR.

Olivia's looks great by the way, we might have to check it out when we go next year. :)

Olivia's is worth the trip over.

Thanks for all the compliments on the girls. They are pretty great :) Our arrival at the airport and flight were pretty uneventful. When we first got on the plane part of a family was in our seats. They had spread out across the plane. This is not Southwest-you have to sit where you are supposed to sorry....Girls watched movies, colored etc. Cay even snoozed for a bit. We got on the ME right away. At OKW the girls each had a Magic Band waiting. We already had a set though. The girl checking us in told me that she would check to see if all the bands were active and said they were. So I had her toss the extra bands. Will this come back to haunt us......Olivia's was good-mine was the Shepherd"s Pie-I scraped the cheese off-it was yummy.

I don't remember you telling me about that family. How rude. And now I remember it was the Shepherd's Pie...the first of two you had this trip.

I forgot that SW still gives snacks for free, we fly United and they don't give you a thing! OKW looks so relaxing and the food at Olivia's looks amazing. I love those homemade chips that came with the sandwich, I could just eat those all by themselves. We are staying CL for our December trip and they always put out those chips, I can tell you the diet goes out the window while at Disney for sure :rotfl2:

We were on United last year and we did get fed...but only because my boss upgraded us to First Class both ways. :) I'm with you...I could eat those chips all by themselves and all day long. Diet? What's a diet?

Really nice intros from both you and Mary. I can't remember- how do you and Mary know each other? Is it a Disney friendship or something else?

Dee, it is a Disney friendship. Mark and I met Mary after talking on the DIS when we were both staying at the Coronado back in 2010 I believe. We hung with her and the girls a couple of times and then we hooked up with her, Jeff and the girls the following year (along with our son, Andy) and after that trip Mary came up with the idea of a girls trip.

Yuck- your flight does not sound ideal. :( A kicker behind and a snorer/wobbler next to you are not great traveling companions.

No they are not; but I was going to Disney so they weren't spoiling my mood.

The décor at Old Key West is so beautiful! I'm glad you switched over to a meal at Olivia's- so much lower key than going to DTD. I hear good things about Olivia's. And even BETTER things about the Turtle Krawl.

:goodvibes

It truly is; I like how they've redone the beds too. Yes, we just weren't up to DTD. I would say the Turtle Krawl is famous like your drink at the Beach Club.

Kathy, I remember you telling me about the seat kicker. :faint:

It was annoying but I dealt with it because of where I was going.

We ate at Olivia's during our trip and I agree that it's a hidden gem. We will definitely be back there too.

I'm so glad you liked it. :goodvibes

Great Intros Kathy and Mary!!! I too LOVE Olivia's , only had breakfast there but was impressed . I was sure that was Shepherd's pie Looked almost as good as mine:rotfl2:

Thanks, Rosie. Maybe we better stop talking about how wonderful Olivia's is or we'll never get back in there. I'm sure nobody makes a better Sherpherd's pie than you.

Hi Mary.
Seemed like a great start to the trip.

Thanks, Scott.

I am here, it may be a solid week before I can actually get caught up but I'm here :)

:yay::yay: Cynthia is here. I was worried I hadn't sent you the bat signal.

Kathy:hug: Happy father's Day to Mark! But I know this is so bittersweet for you, and you are still missing your Daddy

Thank you, Jeanette. Mark umpped all day, but he had fun with the kids. Yes, I thought of my dad a lot on Sunday...thank you.

I am so glad I am not as behind as I thought I was! :thumbsup2

Barely started, Jen.

What a wonderful start to your trip....those chips do look really yummy!
Evidently the road you stayed on has a nasty name as it is starred out. :rotfl2: Darn the Dis!

They are good; pick them up the next time you go to the store. I was really shocked when that was pointed out to me.

Happy Father's Day to Mark my Hat HERO!!!!

Rosie, Mark said thank you very much.

As long as you knew where to meet it's okay that the tree wasn't there ;)

Yes...after we figured out WHERE to meet. ;)

OKW looks beautiful.

It truly is; I really love it there.

I always hear great things about Olivia's. I need to get over there someday to have a try myself.

Yes you must!

Mary: Loved the intro and the current photos of the girls. They are all growing before our eyes!

They sure are and I don't like it one bit; I want them to stay little.

Kathy: I LOVE those wheat thin crackers too. Funny that it's the little things that we look forward to on flights. Too bad the parents didn't make that seat kicker sit on their feet so they wouldn't bother you! Not sure why parents' ignore obnoxious behavior of their kids these days.

It sure is; that was the only thing that kept me crying on the flight home. Mary and I talked about parents and how their kids are a lot on this trip. :(

Ha ha! A turtle krawl already made an appearance in your TR! That's awesome! :thumbsup2 I'm interested to see if you eat breakfast at Olivias. You don't see too many dining reviews for that restaurant.

I figured I might as well start with a bang. We didn't do breakfast at Olivia's this trip; we did the first year and Mark and I ate there last year. We LOVE breakfast too.

May I buy an N, please?

Caren, you have me :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The food looks good. The first Disney meal is exciting, isn't it? :)

I always love that first meal at Disney; especially since I don't have to cook it.

Old Key West is lovely. I have yet to stay here, but we are thinking we may rent points for it for our March 2015 trip.

Oh I hope you do; the girls would LOVE the pool.

Sorry about your flight :sad2: One time I flew from California to New York next to a guy that smelled, so not fun :sad2: Never had anyone kicking me from behind on a plane, it's an almost daily thing in my mini van though :confused3

Oooh...that is much worse than a sit kicker. I get one of those on the train home every once in awhile. :faint: Oh yes...I remember the seat kicks in the car.

OKW is lovely, love your pictures

Thank you.

Olivia's looks yummo. I was almost tempted to switch an ADR.

Or add one?

Can't wait to read more :goodvibes

Soon.

Nice intro Mary! The girls are getting so grown up. I just love their smiles, and watching them grow the past few years following on the DIS! :cheer2: I certainly understand about the AP expiring and gymnastics taking up so much time, but it is great you got this trip in to hold you over until you can go again in the future.

Isn't it great how we watch our kids grow up with our friends on the DIS?

Kathy, great idea going in to work for a couple hours and making the trip to the airport easier. Glad you had a good flight, well except for the seat kicking and the arm snoozing......... :crazy2:

Marv, it just made more sense...saved at least $40 (more Turtle Krawls).

I just love OKW, and you made a great choice opting to eat at Olivia's. But please don't promote it too much on here. I love that not many people know about it and you can usually do a walk-up there when you want to add a last minute sit-down meal. :goodvibes

Yes, I will agree; I think I need to stop promoting it. Ssssshhhhhhh.

Sounds like a great start to your trip! It's always so nice when you get through bag check and security quickly. Bummer though that you had some rude people around you.

I was amazed how fast we got through it. Unfortunately, I deal with rude people every day at my job. :(

Olivia's looks wonderful! I have yet to eat there since it is so far out of the way. Someday though I will try it!

It's really not all that far. It's just down the road from the two POR resorts.

What a rude seat kicker and mommy on your flight. :headache:

Yes, they were, Connie.

Those girls truly are beautiful, love the sparkly hat! That looks like something my youngest DD would wear, too! :thumbsup2

Cayley was restricted, I think, to 3 hats to bring with (and she bought one while at Disney).

Okay, I may have to give Olivia's a try some time just for the Shephard's Pie!!! :duck: I love shephard's pie, but since my family doesn't care for it I don't make it at home typically. :worried:

Just don't tell anyone other than us if you like it. ;) I'm not a shephard's pie fan either, but Mark loves it and I'll recommend it to him on our next trip.

The girls are getting so grown up, so sweet! I love the picture of you and them at the airport - just darling!

Thank you.

Some people really are oblivious, aren't they? Sorry to hear your seat was being kicked and you were someone's sleeping pillow. :headache:

I see them every day.

Olivia's is a great place - I've read so-so reviews in the past and I can't figure out why. Everything I've had there has been very good, and the service is great too.

I don't think I ever seen anything but a good review of Olivia's; I must follow the "good" TR's. :) Service is always outstanding there.

Your room is nice! I just love OKW, what a great resort.

Me too and I love the refurb on the beds.

Joining in ! sounds like it was a great trip and thanks for the tidbit about free snacks on Southwest (we are using them in late Sept! and Hubs will be glad there is a snack)

:welcome: thank you for joining. Yes, the wheat thins and peanuts (I gave my nuts to my seat mate since I don't eat them).

Oh, come on. You were saying it too.

Okay...I was. :lmao:

Well, it is hard to fit full-size suitcases into those overhead bins. :rolleyes1

Seriously...checked luggage only from now on...so much quicker.

Time to get that elbow up. :rolleyes1

I was afraid she'd crush if I did.

I still haven't been here, but I think I need to put it on the list sometime.

You should...it's right up your alley.

Page 8???

Geesh......

You had more important things to deal with than getting here, Mo. Did you get the maps?

Mary i have to say you have BEAUTIFUL and so very talented girls!!! :worship:

I agree!

So far i am glad the trip is working out... cannot wait to hear all the changes..

There will be plenty of them.

Kathy we were thinking about you on the 29th! IF we had time we were going to stop in there and say HELLO!!!!

That would have been so nice. I really hated missing all of you.

::yes:: Of course that's how it always goes when you allow for plenty of time. If you were in a hurry it would take 2 hours to get through security.

That's the truth!

I don't know how, but it seems there are a lot of people who fly that have never once in their life played Tetris. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Funny.

Yep... typical flight. :rotfl2:

I must have gotten spoiled first class last trip with hubby.

Seems like a good idea to me. :thumbsup2

Be sure NOT to eat there! ;)

Ok... you made it through an airport update without mention of stopping by a Starbucks either en route to the airport or in the airport. I'm impressed. :lmao:

That is because Midway doesn't have a Starbucks. I had one on the way into the office when Mark drove me down and I had one again before I left the office. :)

I'm sorry Kathy  hope your Mom is out of the hospital ASAP. And doubly sorry for Mark :(

Thanks, Jeanette.

 Sending hugs and love, Kathy. Praying for you, Mark and your mother.

Thank you.

:hug::hug::hug: Prayers and good thoughts are being sent your way!!!

Thanks, Sara.

Kathy, lots of good wishes and healing pixie dust on the way for your mother. These hospital stays can be so hard ..........

And so sorry to hear about Mark's job. :(

Karin, thank you...appreciate it.

Praying for you and your family during this stressful time.

Thank you very much.

Oh no! I hope things get better soon.

Thanks, Ariana.

I know I said it already in your PM, but I'm so sorry Mark was let go! I hope he gets something new quickly and your mother is improving.

Thank you, Steph.

On the plus side I finally made it here and got caught up. The girls are getting so big! I'm glad you are getting over your fear of flying via WDW trips. :goodvibes

Yes, they are. I'm surprised how easily I have gotten to actually enjoy flying.

Just dropping in to say I finally found your TR!
Off to have a read now :-)

Linda, I am always happy to have you with us.

I'm sorry to hear about both your husband and your mother. :(

Thanks, Amber.

I hope things get better for you soon and I'll keep you in my prayers.

I appreciate it.

Kathy, I'm so sorry to hear about Mark's job. I thought they had worked things out with him. :worried: I know how this feels very well. You will both be okay, but I hate to see you go through this. Life just stinks sometimes.

We had thought so too, especially after they did NOT request the follow up meeting in April as they had indicated.

I hope your mom will be better soon, and MM will cooperate with your soon. Take a deep breath, take a bubble bath and know we are all praying for you both.

A bubble bath sounds like a good idea. Maybe I will do that tonight (I was too busy cancelling and changing ADR's last night).

Kathy, I'm so sorry you're going through a tough time right now. Many positive thoughts sent your way.

Thank you, Annie.

Kathy - I'm so sorry to hear all that bad news. I hope Mark's job situation turns around soon, your mom gets better and Memory Maker starts cooperating for you.:hug:

Thanks, Sheree. I have a feeling I'll be doing updates and doing the PP pictures at the end if I can't figure it out.

If I could, I'd make you a Turtle Krawl right now!!

Oh that would be heavenly.

We are planning to eat at Olivia's when we stay at OKW in December. It seems SO far away!!

YAY! You will love it. And it will be here before you know it.

Wow am I ever late to your party! :scared1:

You are here now and that is what counts. :)

Great start so far, looking forward to reading more... :surf web:

Thank you!

So sorry to hear about Mark, I am wishing you all the best :wizard:

Appreciate it.

Wishing your mom a speedy recovery!

My thoughts and prayers are with you for things to get better!

Thanks; she is home, but she will probably end up in a nursing home soon.

Kathy I am so sorry to hear about Mark's job :(. I hope your Mom is okay.

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Thanks, Lori.

Kathy, first I want to send Prayers and huggs your way.

Thank you, Sandy.

Kathy, I know that I said it on Facebook but please know that I'm praying for you, Mark and your mother. I know that it's been a tough time with Mark and his job and I had hoped that it wouldn't come to an end like this. Thinking of you and praying!

Thanks, Lisa.

Just finished reading your start...

Again, I want to wish you and Mark all the best. I hope he has something lined up very soon.

I had no idea about your mom. Hoping everything sorts itself out quickly!

Thanks for being here, Anita. I am delighted you joined us.

I appreciate the good thoughts. An update coming soon.

Long time lurker coming out to say all the best to Mark. We've been there, and know that you will get through it. Positive thoughts coming you way.

:welcome: and thank you for coming out of lurkdom. I'm sure we will; it was still a kick in the gut though.

Kathy, I am so sorry that you are going through this tough time.

Thanks, Ann.

Kathy- thinking of your family!

Sending positive, healing thoughts for your mom and wishing the best for Mark.

Thanks, Dee.

I'm so sorry to hear this Kathy. Prayers for your mother's health.

Thanks, Andy.

No time to look into Florida real estate like the present... :scratchin

Trust me, that possibility will be looked at.

Mary, wonderful intro to your adorable girls! Love the pic of them with Elsa and Anna!

One of my favorite pictures of the trip.

YAY for arriving (even if the flight was unpleasant!) Great first update, your room looks beautiful and dinner looks yummy.

Thanks, Wendy.

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about Mark's job situation and I will keep your mother in my thoughts. Healing vibes to your family! I sincerely hope things turn around for you. :flower3:

Thank you; I appreciate it more than you know.

Kathy, So sorry about Mark's job.
Sending prayers and hugs for you, Mark....and your mom, for her recovery.

Thanks, Janet.

And I do believe that there is bigger and better things down the road for you both. Good things do indeed bless good people.. and you both are some of the best. xo

Oh now you've gone and made me cry.

Oh Kathy, so sorry!!!! Sending prayers your way, friend!!! :flower3:

Thank you, Connie.

OK Finally here and caught up.

:yay: Lorrie is here.

I missed a snack on my flight home. USAir seems to only give snacks to first class and an extra couple hundred dollars isn't worth it for a bag of chips that I can buy for $1.

I normally grab a bag of pretzels to bring on the plane with me.

OKW looks like a really nice resort. One day I hope.

It's a favorite of ours.

The girls are really cute and I can understand no trips for awhile. We only went every 4 or 5 years when my kids were younger. Sports, private school for my son and other obligations made it hard.

We tried to go every year or every other year until they got in high school and sports got more expensive.

Kathy so sorry that your mom is in the hospital. I worry about those calls all the time with my parents as they are getting older. Guess I'll call my mom and talk to her today after the fight we had sunday I was ignoring her.

Thank you; my mom and I are not close, but she is my mother and I hate to see her suffer.

I knew from your last TR Mark had some issues with work but had hoped they worked out for him. So sorry he was let go. Here's hoping something bigger and better is waiting for him. Is he still umpiring baseball? Know it's not a money maker but it's something to keep him occupied for a little bit.

We had thought things were better, but we always had this in the back of our mind as happening.

Kathy, I'm so sorry to hear the news about Mark's job. And after it had seemed like he had a reprieve. I hope and pray you both will land on your feet. Maybe now you can get to Florida like you've been dreaming!

Thank you, Mark; we thought so too on the reprieve.Yes, Florida will remain an option.

Kathy i am so very sorry for all this terrible news.. I really hope everything smooths out sooner then later!!! Prayers and thoughts to you always..

Thanks, Mo.

I'm sorry I'm late, but I'm here! Great beginning and intros, OKW looks so pretty and I'm dying to try Olivia's, everyone always talks about how good it is!

Jen, I'm glad you are here. It is a beautiful resort, and Olivia's is a gem.

I'm so sorry for all of the bad news Kathy, I hope everything gets better soon! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Thank you.

I'm here, and just read the Intro. I love it when somebody says they're going to take a break from DisneyWorld....by going to Disneyland!

:yay::yay: Glenn is here. There are other reasons for the break from DW; now let's hope we can get to DL next year.

Can't wait to see some pictures of Cayley and Avery.

You'll be amazed at how much they've grown in our three trips together.

Oh no, I just saw the bad news regarding Mark's job. So sorry to read that. Praying for you two. :goodvibes

Thanks, Glenn.

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about Marks job and also with your mother. My thoughts and prayers for a new and better job for Mark and good health to your mother.

Bob, I appreciate it very much.

That is classic!

It certainly was.

I am very sorry to hear this! I wish all the best to you and that Mark finds something else soon. Also that everything turns out ok with your mom!

thoughts and prayers!

Thanks, Max; very much appreciated.

Oh Kathy, I'm so sorry. I wish Mark all the best but I'm so sorry for how stressful it may be. You know we're right there with you. Praying for better days for the job situation and your mom. I just stuck out my tongue to the Memory Maker issue... I had a small issue last trip. Argh!

I tried the Memory Maker thing again and it's still giving me problems.

(Michael sends his love and best wishes too.)

Take care!

I know you know what we are going through. Michael and I talked last night on Facebook...he's such a sweetie. Give him a big kiss from me. Love ya!

Thank you, Mary Ellen. Unfortunately, the package was VERY WEAK! I have the lawyers I work for looking over the paperwork tomorrow.

Thanks for the pixie dust.

Hi Mary,
Sorry to hear about Mark's job and your mom. Hopefully something better is in Mark's path and your mom gets better quick. My thoughts are with you and your family.

What better way to put your problems behind you than to update a Trip Report with fond memories of your time with the girls? So let's do that.

But before I get to it, let me give you some other minor updates.

My mom is home, but I don't know for how long. She may have to go to a short term rehab facility and depending on her next doctor's visit, into a Nursing Home. Physically she is doing okay (issues, but nothing major at the moment; she does have cancer, but it is very small at the moment), but mentally she is not there and I'm not sure how long my brother can handle her.

Mark: he had a rough night sleeping last night, but he sounded okay when I talked to him this morning (he was sleeping when I left). The severance package is unacceptable and I have my attorneys looking at it to see if there is an age discrimination suit. As of now, Mark will take the summer off unless something spectacular comes up. I think he needs some time to regroup and just relax. He's been so stressed since last October with the job. There is one opportunity that might come up in our area; we have Todd keeping his eyes open in Florida for him.

We are NOT cancelling either of our trips...we go to Vegas in August. It was supposed to be his business trip, but friends of ours here are going to be there the same weekend and Mary and Jeff (yep, our Mary of Mary and the girls) are going to be there, so we are still going. I had miles for both of our airfares and we are looking at cheap hotels. We are also not cancelling Florida. 1) we rented DVC and can't get our money back and 2) I'm not missing seeing Nicki and Todd. I did cancel a couple of the more expensive ADR's -- Flying Fish and Yachtsman which I didn't want to do, but figured we would just go with cheaper meals.

We will be fine through the end of the year without having to go into his 401 or anything; yes, we'll have to cut back a little on the frills, but we won't go homeless.

So on with the update. Memory Maker pictures will probably wait until the very end of the TR. I can download them to my computer but having issues getting them on Photobucket. :headache:

We left off with having a wonderful dinner at Olivia's. It was still early on the girl's "internal clock" with the time difference between Phoenix and Orlando. So we walked to the bus stop at the Hospitality House and headed here:

First stop was for Miss Kathy. I had been up early and don't have quite the time difference and was in need of a pick me up to continue on:

Yes, Andy, I am at Starbucks:

Aren't these adorable?

A picture of the castle:

We headed to a favorite before it closed down for refurb:

Anybody know where we are?

I bet this helps:

Then we were off to here (I believe Mary had gotten us some fastpasses while we were at dinner).

After our defeating Zurg, we found ourselves here:

Avery tried on the first hat of the trip for Mr. Mark:

I think I'll stop now because I'm going to run into problems with the number of pictures to continue.

Up next, more fun at the Magic Kingdom.

I promise to get caught up again on everyone else's threads tonight and tomorrow now that yesterday is behind us.

THANK YOU ALL for your support. Love my DIS family.
