I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Awesome updates! I'm all caught up! Loving this trip report and SOOO wishing we could've met up on our trip.

Great first day for arriving early evening, Kathy! I can't believe how much the girls have changed over these past few years. Then again, I look at Cassie who is entering high school in September! Pretty sure I just brought her home from the hospital! :rotfl:

All this mentioning of Turtle Krawls has me drooling. Those taste so good. I believe I had three of them with my roast beef meal at Olivia's. Whoops. Good idea taking the room number picture. LOL!

Happy to hear that things are temporarily looking up for your mom and that Mark is coming around. Better things are to come, you'll see. You certainly both deserve it!

Spoiler Alert: this is the only time we would see Wishes this trip. :(

Oh no! :( I'm glad you at least got to see some of it!

But, on the plus side it does look like a really fun evening. :thumbsup2 I love rides in the dark, there's a whole different feel to it.

Ooh HM is always a great choice.

Aww the only time you saw Wishes? :(

And hey, BTM is tame but it's always more jerky than I remember before I get on.

I'm in love with the little 'welcome home' door mat.

Great report. The girls are adorable.

I love, love, love OKW so much. Haven't tried to Turtle Krawl but will have to next time we go.

I can't believe how much you all were able to get done on your travel day.

I love Haunted Mansion the best at night.

Looking forward to reading more of your report.

I also wanted to send you prayers and hugs :grouphug: for you and your family.

We will get to see Wishes during the dessert party, but that may be the only time. I prefer to do rides while everyone else is watching the fireworks :cool1:, The lines are usually much shorter. We rode Buzz 3 times in a row - walk on each time when we went in March. Charlie always has that look of intense concentration too. I can't wait to get those pictures in our MM package next time!:rotfl:

I rarely watch wishes as well. We rather ride rides during that time!

You guys got a lot done in such a short time! I am very impressed! Great start to the trip! Sorry you didn't get to see Wishes this go around. There is always next time! Looking forward to seeing what is next!

I LOVE those Wheat Thins on the Southwest flights :)

Hoping for the best with your Mom and Mark's employment situation. Great to see you're not cancelling your trips though...a little magic is never a bad thing!

Sounds like a great trip so far!

Kristin and I were discussing 2015 ADRs today, and Olivia's certainly looks interesting!

Wow, you say the next day will be a full one but I think this day definitely was! Seems like you kept going until you couldn't go any more and were ready for bed!

Ann, we did, and the Starbucks was a huge wake-me up. :)

Sorry that this was the only time for wishes. At least you got a couple shots. It is funny to me that the more I go to WDW the less I get to see Wishes. :sad2:

We decided we were going to just do what we felt like and with exception of FP+ and ADR's, not worry about having to be somewhere. It's not like we'd never seen it; I'm sure Mark and I will watch in September.

Love the welcome mat and room number pics. That is good planning! ;)

I tend to forget what room I'm in...with or without a Turtle Krawl.

Looks like a great night!

Thanks, Katie.

Too funny about the Turtle Krawls! :rotfl2: But a great idea nonetheless to take a picture of where you are, esp in a place that's pretty spread out like OKW.

Yes; and I always seem to forget at least those first two days where I am.

aw, bummer you didn't get to see Wishes again - but at least you got to see it that time!

Max, we saw a good portion of it and that was good enough for us. We just didn't want to fight the crowds and sit an hour before hand with the girls (they'd rather do the rides).

BTMRR is such a great ride at night!

The best!

Okay, I'm getting caught up now!

:wave2: Danielle. How is your toe?

First off, absolutely the girls are totally adorable! No wonder you love traveling with them.

Yes they are, and they are so much fun (most of the time).

Very smart driving to the office and leaving your car there.

Cheaper than a limo.

Those wheat thins are so good! I thought the same thing when they served them to us in May!

I crave the darn things now. I have to keep a bag at work.

I found it funny that the DIS totally blanked out your street name. :lmao:

I did too. :)

Cayley's hat is amazing. I just have to point that out. And she looks so adorable in it.

she loves her hats.

Turtle Krawl! Mmmmmm.

Absolutely...I wish I was having one right now.

Olivia's really is a hidden gem. Love that restaurant.

Me too; I changed some ADR's around for September and we will be eating dinner there.

I'm just so sorry for everything that's been going on for you guys. I know that everything will work out for you in the end. I have faith. But absolutely have the attorneys looking over the severance package if it's unacceptable. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Thanks, Danielle. I appreciate it.

Joaquin does the same thing as Cayley! Puts his hands in the air, and we're always needing to keep track of him so he doesn't go flying out. :rotfl2:

She literally stood up the first ride this trip...scared the you know what out of me.

So DD12 is a scaredy cat. She WILL go on HM, but she WILL NOT go on it at night time. DDalmost15 is not a scaredy cat. She loves HM, Tower of Terror, etc...but she WILL NOT go on said rides at night time either! So, your girls were much braver than my girls are! :rotfl2:

That's too funny.

The picture of the girls "showing thier Disney side" made me chuckle a bit... love how Cayley, the younger one is the "prissy" poser and Avery is the "play it cool" poser...so much like my two! ::yes::

Oh, Cayley is definitely the "princess"/"fashion bug"/"poser" of those two.

I completely agree with Mary! I'm not the littlest of people and rides like BTMRR where there is an opening at the side and the bar doesn't come down all the way on either of my kids, was terrifying! Of course Lorelai refused to let me hold on to her so I spent many rides on BTMRR terrified she would slide out. Guess it doesn't really happen or we would obviously hear about it and things would change, but scary none the less!

I suppose we would hear if something did happen; but I remember being scared when our youngest was on it because he was always so "tiny."

I should have taken a photo of our room number, it would have saved us from going to three doors at POR our first night. :rolleyes1 And that was not our Yeeha Bob night either. ;)

Oh dear; I'm afraid to ask what happened on your Yee Haw Bob night. ;) I always take a photo of our row for parking too...or I'd still be searching for the car the next day.

First - loved Mary's intros of the girls! What talented little ladies! And such a fun age - I really miss my girls being that age.

Yes, they are D.

Bummer that your flight took off late... and even more of a bummer that lady had to snore AND use your arm for a pillow... Yikes!

I wasn't letting it ruin my trip though; I was too excited to be going to Disney.

Happy to see that you found Mary and the girls easily enough.

It didn't take nearly as long as previous years.

Loved seeing your room pictures... Alli is torn between stating at OKW or GF for her graduation trip (if that's where we decide to go)... Ok - let me rephrase that... If Josh decides to let us go. popcorn::

I've never had a desire to stay at GF (although Mark likes the villas because of the Dumbo headboard); but we truly love everything about OKW.

I've heard great things about Olivia's... Mostly from you - but that's OK - I trust your judgement. ::yes::

I've never read a bad review about it.

Kathy - I am only a little ways into your TR, but I am hoping there are more on your Mom and I hope she is doing better.

The whole thing with my mother is just a mess right now. Bob took her to the rehab place on Friday. He gave her Saturday to get adjusted. He went there today and went off the wall and is calling doctor to get her home tomorrow. He said the place is awful. And although he may not be perfect, he can take better care of her.

I am also very relieved to hear that you are not cancelling your trips... I am a firm believer in having something awesome to look forward to in times of character building...

Thank you.

Looks like you had a great first night, and were able to do many of our favorites!

We really did and got many favorites in.

Loved the "show your Disney side" photo op area... I have a feeling I will be using that area quite a bit on our trip. :rolleyes1

I'm so glad we found it...a great photo spot.

Phew - all caught up!!!

Looking forward to following along and continuing to stay caught up. :lovestruc

I'm glad you are caught up. :)

Much love and many hugs to you and Mark... :grouphug:

D~

Thank you very much, D.

Kathy I have been terrible about posting on the dis but I am caught up and enjoying your report. Also I am continuing to pray that Mark will find something that he truly wants to do and not just a job.

I'm glad they will ride and enjoy the thrill rides. ::yes::

They do better on them than me. :)

They look so grown here. I hope to see years and years of future pictures as these sort of little girls grow up to be amazing young women with a special love of Disney things.

I totally agree with you Caren.

Is there such a thing as too many turtle krawls? :rotfl2: Just sayin!

I don't know what I was thinking, MEK. ;)

Fun night at the MK. I finally got some inside picture of the tangled BRs. Now I just have to remember where they are. :rotfl2:

I love that bathroom.

Cayley's sweatshirt is so cute. Was it actually that cool at night? Seems hard to believe.

NI didn't think so, but those girls obviously did.

Love MK at night! Too bad you didn't get to see Wishes in it's full glory. Last trip we saw bits and pieces while at MK running from ride to ride. MK is my favorite park to do at night less people and I love how everything looks at night there it's just so magical!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

So do I, Lori. It's a magical place all the time, but especially at night.

Great photo's once again, Kathy! Always adds to the excitement to enter the Haunted Mansion at night time. Glad you saw a few of the fireworks at Wishes. I think sometimes it's worth missing it to be able to get on rides quicker and easier. Glad you all got a good nights rest.

Thanks, Gayle. I love HM at night. This turned out to be one of those times...we hit quite a few rides despite the long day.

As always, looking forward to reading more soon! :surfweb:

Thank you.

Once again, sending lots of positive thoughts to you and Mark.

Thanks, Dee.

"What shall we do now?"

I'd say some time at the MK after your arrival meal is a pretty darned good start!

We thought so too.

Peoplemover followed by Buzz and Pooh is a super itinerary. Gorgeous photo of the castle!

Thank you. :)

:goodvibes

Thanks.

"Who's Tired?"

You go, girls!

The girls did really good despite the long travel day.

Wow, I'm impressed.

I was happy we got as much done as we did.

Glad to hear you were able to hit Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder.

Two of the biggest attractions and walked right on.

Sorry to hear this was your only shot at Wishes!

I'll catch it (and the castle show) in September.

The Show Your Disney Side sign is really cute- haven't seen that in any other reports yet.

I'm glad we found it and got lucky with no one around to geet a good shot.

G'Night! Sounds like you all deserve it.

:goodvibes

Thanks!

:scared1: shocked you didn't get to see wishes properly in the trip. I don't think my trip would feel complete without wishes

We saw parts of it; but we were just having too much fun to stop and watch.

Looks like you had fun until you dropped! :rotfl2: I'm glad you got to see a little bit of Wishes. We totally missed it last trip - hoping to catch it this year :goodvibes

Thanks, Tammie. We did; but when we dropped, we dropped. :rotfl: Yes, Mark and I will definitely watch the whole thing in September.

Sorry you missed part of Wishes, but it sounds like a great MK night :lovestruc Great idea taking a pic of the room number, I forget by the time I get home:rotfl: I can't wait to have a Turtle Crawl, DH says he gets the first one :lmao: DON'T think so buddy!

Jeanette, it's okay, because we had so much fun. I think you and DH should have one at the same time and toast the beauty of OKW!

Awesome updates! I'm all caught up! Loving this trip report and SOOO wishing we could've met up on our trip.

Thanks, Alan. I wish we'd met up too. :(

Great first day for arriving early evening, Kathy! I can't believe how much the girls have changed over these past few years. Then again, I look at Cassie who is entering high school in September! Pretty sure I just brought her home from the hospital! :rotfl:

I can't either. Cassie is entering high school? That's not possible. Tell her I said NO!

All this mentioning of Turtle Krawls has me drooling. Those taste so good. I believe I had three of them with my roast beef meal at Olivia's. Whoops. Good idea taking the room number picture. LOL!

Three of them? I'm done after two usually. :rotfl:

Happy to hear that things are temporarily looking up for your mom and that Mark is coming around. Better things are to come, you'll see. You certainly both deserve it!

Thanks; things with Mom are a mess right now. But being taken care of is what is most important.

Oh no! :( I'm glad you at least got to see some of it!

Thanks, Wend.

But, on the plus side it does look like a really fun evening. :thumbsup2 I love rides in the dark, there's a whole different feel to it.

It was a fun evening. There sure is...especially Big Thunder.

Ooh HM is always a great choice.

I agree Amber.

Aww the only time you saw Wishes? :(

I promise to make up for it in September.

And hey, BTM is tame but it's always more jerky than I remember before I get on.

I'm amazed at how jerky it feels each time I ride it (I swear it is my age).

I'm in love with the little 'welcome home' door mat.

Isn't that adorable? I want one for home.

Great report. The girls are adorable.

Thank you, and :welcome:

I love, love, love OKW so much. Haven't tried to Turtle Krawl but will have to next time we go.

You LOVE OKW and haven't tried the Turtle Krawl? YOU must do so on your next stay.

I can't believe how much you all were able to get done on your travel day.

I was a little surprised we made it as long as we did, but happy we did.

I love Haunted Mansion the best at night.

It gives it a little extra "eerie" feel. :)

Looking forward to reading more of your report.

Update coming soon.

I also wanted to send you prayers and hugs :grouphug: for you and your family.

Thank you very, very much.

I wanted to get the dessert party and was unable; we'll find a spot (maybe I'll even get a FP+ for it). Cool that you got to do Buzz 3 times in a row. It's fun to get all those pictures.

I rarely watch wishes as well. We rather ride rides during that time!

Wishes is my favorite show (not a fan of Illuminatons) and try to catch it every year.

You guys got a lot done in such a short time! I am very impressed! Great start to the trip! Sorry you didn't get to see Wishes this go around. There is always next time! Looking forward to seeing what is next!

Thanks, Katie. We did get a lot done in a short time; and we will see Wishes. :)

I LOVE those Wheat Thins on the Southwest flights :)

Aren't they great, Jon?

Hoping for the best with your Mom and Mark's employment situation. Great to see you're not cancelling your trips though...a little magic is never a bad thing!

A little magic is just what he needs right now. :)

Sounds like a great trip so far!

It was and more fun to come.

Kristin and I were discussing 2015 ADRs today, and Olivia's certainly looks interesting!

Please try Olivia's...I really think you will like it.

Where are those Rapunzel bathrooms? I was telling my DD about them but we never found them.

Alan, once you leave It's a Small World and go towards Haunted Mansion they are right there (it's where they used to park all the strollers for Small World).

Kathy I have been terrible about posting on the dis but I am caught up and enjoying your report. Also I am continuing to pray that Mark will find something that he truly wants to do and not just a job.

Judy, always glad to see you here when you can get here. Thank you...glad you are enjoying. I am hoping the same thing for Mark too.

We slept in after our late night. I made coffee and we had breakfast in the room (I had ordered cereal, donuts, fruit, milk, etc., from Garden Grocer).

I took a few pictures before we walked to our bus stop which was the first one picked up.

If I remember correctly, this was the only morning we waited longer than 10 minutes for a bus. We arrived at the Magic Kingdom in 15 minutes. There was no time for pictures, because we had to check in for a very important date for Avery.

Avery was becoming a mermaid.

Avery had a wonderful CM. After she was done up, we went to her Photopass spot for photos:

After Avery became a Mermaid, it was time for lunch. We were eating ehre:

We started with the Tavern Fried Cheese:

Cayley's pasta:

Avery's turkey lunch:

Mary's turkey feast:

And my cheeseburger:

Mary and the girls shared this dessert:

And the girls also shared this with me:

Continued in the next post

After lunch, we hit one of my two least favorite attractions. But the girls like it so off we went:

Then it was time for what everyone is trying to do and we were able to do thanks to FP+. We were meeting some very special ladies.

With only about a 15 minute wait, it was our turn:

Up next, another Princess meet and Cayley's make-over

wow, Avery's Mermaid Makeover looks great!

Congrats on surviving It's a Small World ;)

Wow - great you got the golden fastpass to meet A&E - looks like a ton of fun, especially with Anna

Love Avery's mermaid makeover. How cool is that!

Lunch looks yummy!

I absolutely love all the Frozen PP pictures. They turned out great! And I love Mary's shirt!

Fun update!

What a nice morning!
Avery looks beautiful as a mermaid!!

Glad you got to meet Anna and Elsa without a 4 hour wait! Not sure that my kids want to do it so I don't know that I'll try for a FP+ for December. And I can't ask them because it's a surprise! I think they'll be okay. They didn't want to wait an hour at DL for it.
