Welcome to the Dis pkjne :wave2: Right now there are not any deals from Disney out for November (it is a little early yet!). You are on the right forum though if you are looking for discounts on Disney Package Vacations and/or on property Disney hotel discounts.

The only discounts that come to the top of my head that you could do now would be AAA or one of the Swan/Dolphin Discounts (see this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=982304 for those).

If you have not already checked out Mousesavers.com I would head there and start to read through the various pages. Here is a link to the WDW discounts page: http://www.mousesavers.com/wdw.html

Off topic....but I have a labrador named Scout, too! She is chocolate, though! :dog: :dog: :dog:

First thing you want to do is read. This forum is excellent for finding out everything you need to know. Cruise through the various threads and read. There is another site (mousesavers) that gives a history of when discount codes have come out in the past. There have been two codes in the past - one for the general public & one for Annual Pass Holders (AP). When these come out for your travel period (that will be posted here or on mousesavers) you can call Disney and tell them the code and they will apply it, provided there are still rooms available (they issue only so many rooms for the discounts). Recently, however, there haven't been any gerenal public discount codes.

JUST READ & ASK QUESTIONS - There are plenty of knowledgable & helpful people on this site.

Thank you all so much for you information.............I will start doing some reading in my spare time. LOL and see what I can find. I have a sister in law that comes here often and she said she will be my travel agent LOL :rotfl2: So hopefully I will find a good deal sometime.

She did tell me that the week of THANKSGIVING is not a good time cause it is so packed is that right ?

THANKS
:wizard:

Yes, she is correct and if you can swing it either way you are better off. Secondly, are you flying or driving? If you are planning to fly, you are better off reserving airline tickets soon, esp if you are going Thanksgiving week.

Do you know where you want to stay? What is your budget? Do you plan to do the meal plan? The easiest way to figure out the meal plan is to see if you will be eating a lot of sit-down meals if so, it may work out better for you to get it. Do you want to stay off site? How many people are in your party?

Hello ::MickeyMo
Thanks for the information. First of all we will be driving. Second of all, I am lost on the meal tickets and all. I am thinking that would be the best thing to do. I will have 5 in the party with me. I have myself and my hubby and then three children ages eight, six and four at the time of the trip.
I was told that the port river is the one that will hold up to five people. So I am thinking that we will be staying there. We would like to stay on site we have been told that would be best. We would like to have the ease of travel so we were told to stay on site.
I would like to have everything covered before I go that includes hopper tickets for all of us.................and then meals also. We would like to get one character meal in there don't care when just need to get one in there.
I was told that you could even take foods with you and fix there...........snacks and all.
I am trying to get lots of things figured out.

Thank you all once again I LOVE this board :flower:

Ok to do the dining plan you will need to purchase a Magic Your Way Vacation Package from Disney. Here is some info on the Vacation Package:
Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining (taken from the Dis):

The Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining enhancement provides two meals and one snack at the following participating Disney restaurants. (link to participating restaurnats http://www.wdwinfo.com/MagicYourWaydining.htm )

The Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining includes:

• Accommodations at a Disney Resort
• Magic Your Way Base ticket
• Disney Dining Plan

Choose from over 100 participating Disney restaurants. For each night of the package you receive:

* 1 Table-Service meal including appetizer, entrée, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and/or gratuity/service charge
* 1 Counter Service meal including entrée and non-alcoholic beverage
* 1 Snack, such as snack-cart ice cream, popcorn or a non-alcoholic beverage

Children ages 3-9 must choose from children’s menu if available

Meal options are flexible and can be used in a variety of combinations, including:

* using multiple meal options in any one day
* exchanging one table-service meal for one character dining experience
* exchanging two table-service meals for one meal at a dinner show or at a signature restaurant such as the California Grill.

1 Table-Service meal can be exchanged for 1 Character Dining Experience. 2 Table-Service meals may also be exchanged for either 1 Signature Dining Experience at one of Disney’s finer restaurants or for 1 Disney Dinner Show, such as Hoop-De-Doo Musical Review.

* Official Walt Disney Travel Company luggage tag (one per person)

Everyone in the room must be on the same package and ticket options. All passes must be used within 14 days of first use, unless the No Expiration option is purchased.

POR is a great resort to stay at and your kids will love the theme pool there and the grounds are nice.

When doing a package from Disney It will have to be paid in full 45 days prior to your arrival. Check out this and play around with dates and what not to get an idea of costs:

If you are on the dining plan I believe all of the charchter meals are only 1 Table Service Credit so that will be no problem...just make sure to make Advance dining Reservations (ADR's (disney speak for reservations))

I usually take some gronola bars or fruit snacks and water into the park with me on trips.

I hope that this helps you some :) Have a good day :goodvibes

We stayed at POR with our kids this past June and loved it. We also got the meal plan this year (last year we skipped it and spent a fortune). We will not go back to WDW unless we purchase the meal plan.

My kids loved the dinner at Chef Mickeys. I would recommend that as your character dining.

June 04, All Star Sports
June 05, POR
June 07, Boardwalk

POR - I read somewhere that if you're staying there you should rent a car because it's so far from everything...true? They said to forget about Hoop-dee-doo Reveue unless you have one.

POR is far from everything. Our first year we stayed at the All Star Sports resort and found that the transportation system was much better staying there. We just found that we needed to plan extra time to get where we wanted to go and we always caught the bus at the front of the hotel. If you try to catch the bus close to your room they are always full. If you stay at POR request Magnolia bay section its close to everything.

We went to the Hoopty Doo Revue from POR good thing we left early. It took along time to get there from POR but we made it.
