hi everyone, I am new to the board and heard about it from a friend. I am planning a trip with the family and wanted to know when is the LEAST CROWDED TIMES to go to disney and also in general, the highest satisfaction overall for a resort. We are looking to go mid november, or last week of november-begin of dec. Of course not NJ week (i am from NJ) and not t-giving week either. Hoping it is not too hot cause little one cant take the heat to well. Any suggestion are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome! One of our best trips was the week after Thanksgiving. The parks are decorated for the holidays, it is usually a bit cooler (at least in the evening) and the parks are quiet!! One of the least crowded times of the year. Our favorite resort is the Yacht and Beach Club because of its proximity to Epcot and MGM and the great restaurants around the Boardwalk. But when our kids were younger, we like Poly for the convenience to MK. We did stay at WL one holiday season and that was just wonderful for the holiday atmosphere. You would not be disappointed with any of these.

Welcome! I don't know about November, but May is perfect in WDW. Not too hot, not crowded, great weather! As for resorts, AKL is my favorite. There's nothing like sitting on your balcony and watching the zebras and giraffes in the savanah!

We love going in January (except for MLK week-end) Have gone the last couple of years around the 4th of the month. Non-existant lines more than make up for a gamble with the weather. Would never be able to handle a park in the middle of summer.

There are some re-hab closures, but nothing that wouldn't give us an excuse to come back.

It's also value season-so lots of $$ saved on resort, airfare, car rental, etc.

My fav time of the year to go

We have gone the first week of Nov. twice and it was very nice but, this year they changed most of Nov. to regular season rates it was value before. I would suggest right after T-Day value season starts on Nov. 27th. The crowds should be low and it shouldn't be to hot.As far as satisfaction of a resort I love the POLY more than any other resort. Having said that I am staying at POR this Sept. and have heard very good things about it to.It kinda depends on your budget.

Based on Disney's rate structure & DVC info the slowest times are the following:
the Month of September, the first 2 weeks of December, the month of January. We went the beginning of December last year & it was nice with the decorations up. They also have the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party during that time. About 5 years ago I was there from the day before New Years Eve for 2 weeks & it was very quiet after New Years except for the Weekend of the Marathon. It was very comfortable weather that year. September is usually still really hot & hurricane season, so a lot of rain. As for the resorts it depends upon the atmosphere you are looking for & the price you want to pay.
