I am looking for a bag I can iron on.

I hope someone here on the boards can help me. I am looking for the best type of bag to peronalize for our trip. I am looking for a unisex bag for children. Maybe a small backpack to put an autograph book, pens, water bottle, and a small snack. I want to do iron on designs on it. I have to buy 8 so maybe a place that can wholesale me a dozen. Any suggestions would be great.

I just bought a canvas bag and used this iron on - unfortunately it spilled over onto the red straps but - not bad. You do need to be more careful with the iron heat time as it'll "bleed through" if you get the iron too hot or leave it on too long much more easily than on a cotton tee.

I tried both of these but, I think I need a backpack. Thank you both.The boys that are going are all 9 and they may not want to carry a shoulder bag.

sorry, I didn't mean to imply to buy that bag, just that you can buy a CANVAS bag (i.e., gym bag/backpack whatever) and this might be the results.

I was very hesitant about being successful with canvas but it seemed to be ok!

I just saw some cotton drawstring back packs on oriental trading's website. They had colors and white- but you had to buy a dozen...I only need two- but it sounds like that might be what you need!

I actually found child size backpacks at the dollar store. They had a variety of colours and were a great size for our trip. They had one large compartment on the top and one smaller compartment on the front. Both were zippered. The straps were adjustable. I thought these were the greatest ever for 1 dollar!!! The fabric was a bit tricky for iron-ons, but it worked, I just had to be really careful. My DD4 kept her autograph book and pen, snacks, pins, small souvenirs, sunglasses, lanyard, and hand sanitizer in the backpack and she actually wore it all day every day for one week. Even when I gave her the option to take it off, she wanted to wear it. I hope you can find something similar as these were so great.

I have been searching the dollar stores and have not been so lucky. That sounds like what I was looking for. It looks like I will be ordering from Oriental Trading.
Thanks for letting me know about ironing on canvas bags. I was hesitant also but, your bag looks great.

I ordered my backpacks from OT so I will let you know how they work when I get them. I am making them for my DD 6th birthday gift bags. I am putting the girls' names on them and then letting them decorate with fabric markers. Hope it works.
