We love Will Smith,he has not made a movie we dont like yet!!

I Am Legend I can watch over and over!!I thought it was better then the origanal-The Omega Man!!

I really liked it in the theater and bought it when it came out. I have actually seen it about a dozen times and now watch it on HBO. It's a bit like a train wreck. I am scared to death of some of the scenes and terribly uncomfortable with others, like the video store, but just have to watch it again and again.

My DH watches it again and again on DVD. But he falls asleep every time he watches it. I don't think he has ever gotten to the alternate ending.

I always ask him to turn it down during the Sam part. Makes me so sad.

I didn't like the movie because although I am a Will Smith fan, I am not a fan of this genre. It stays with me too long for comfort. I gave up reading The Road a third way in because it was way too depressing.

You can find the alternate ending on youtube...hmm, very interesting and profound. Kinda makes me want to read the book. Still doesn't make me feel better about Sam though.

The scene where he is hanging from a wire and it is getting dark... I had to pause the movie and walk around the house to calm down. And I wasn't alone- my DH and my sister were also freaked out!

I Am Legend was a good movie, but so disturbing. I cried a couple of times - the helicopter scene, the scene with Sam, the ending when he's in the lab.

Will Smith is one of my favorite actors.

I didn't care very much for this movie. I think Will Smith is a great actor, but this movie just didn't do anything for me (and even less for my wife).
Of the two Will Smith "I am" movies, I'll stick with "I am robot."

Note that you'll want to go back and rewatch the movie after seeing the alternate ending - completely different movie. Lots of little thing make a lot more sense. It's not just a creepy-thing-that-jump-in-the-dark movie anymore.

What's weird is the whole movie sets up the original ending. When they lopped it off and tacked on the movie ending, it lost its soul. Those it still makes for a decent soulless zombie flick.

Besides the last 6 minutes (the lab scene), is there other differences in the version with the alternate (zombie leader leaves with zombie girlfriend)?
