I Am Just So TICKED OFF--School Related

Oh, and this DOES happen in ALL areas of "business." I walk into a store 15 minutes before closing and while I'd love to get great service, do I really think this is realistic? .

um, there's a difference between 15 minutes and 2 weeks...

But is all turned out and that's great. And I guess all schools aren't like that -- mine was. I remember a friend who had to relocate spur of the moment trying to get our school to send her daughter's transcripts and having to ask multiple times. When the new school in the new state started to get agitated (we really need those transcripts....) and my friend went into the school office, at this point a little agitated, the staff acted like she was insane ("we told you we'd get to it").

If you think private industry works this way, I guess it can, but this is how businesses fail -- we put up with this stuff too much from government and school employees (keeping in mind, that not all are like this, but if the aren't it's because they are pushing themselves to be a good employee.)

I guess I will quit grousing about my son's High School...... the principal is on staff all summer long -- and I think the guidance counselors are there for most of the summer as well.

Wow, not here...there is no one in the school other than the janitors and a few office staff, and even they are cut to half their normal hours there for the summer, like 10-1!

They work a shorter day - but yep, they are there. I think the guidance counselors don't come in as often as the Principal.
