um, there's a difference between 15 minutes and 2 weeks...
But is all turned out and that's great. And I guess all schools aren't like that -- mine was. I remember a friend who had to relocate spur of the moment trying to get our school to send her daughter's transcripts and having to ask multiple times. When the new school in the new state started to get agitated (we really need those transcripts....) and my friend went into the school office, at this point a little agitated, the staff acted like she was insane ("we told you we'd get to it").
If you think private industry works this way, I guess it can, but this is how businesses fail -- we put up with this stuff too much from government and school employees (keeping in mind, that not all are like this, but if the aren't it's because they are pushing themselves to be a good employee.)
