I am hoping it's the bloat fairy

I am having some tough times right now and when I came home from work I needed some comfort foods. Steak and salad just wouldn't do it last night.
So I had 1/2 package of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Got up this am and got on the scale. 10 LBS???? I can't imagine macaroni and cheese would add 10 lbs. I weighed myself on Thursday morning and again today.
It is getting close to TOM but supposed to be Christmas week.
Could the BF come this early?

I did get the results of my dad's biopsy and the news is not good at all. I suspected it and was ready when the DR told me but it still will be a tough few months. The tumors are inoperable because of their size so we will just have to make his time with us as enjoyable as we can. I am taking him to FL with me in Jan because I don't think he will be able to go for our scheduled trip in March.
Thank you all for the kind words last week and I will keep in touch when I can. Peggie

 Peggy!
I know what you're going through. (I'm feeling like a ton of junk myself.) Mac n cheese has a ton of salt, and TOM combined with stress can push your retention weight through the roof! You are in my thoughts. Take good care of you and yours!

Keep the Faith!

Peggie, here's a  !!

I'm so sorry to hear the news about your father.

Stress and all the salt in the mac&cheese could DEFINITELY add up to lots of extra water. It will disappear in no time - I think it's the least of your worries right now.

Do your best to make the holidays extra special and have a wonderful and memorable trip in January. Cherish the moments.

I'll keep you and your family, especially your father, in my prayers.

I am very sorry to hear about your Dad! Please know he is my thoughts and prayers!

I'll be thinking of you and your dad... I'm really sorry about the news.

Don't worry too much about the comfort foods. Sometimes we just really need that emotionally... it might put some scary numbers on your scale temporarily, or the BF might be visiting early. Either way, nothing permanent.

If that mac and cheese came from a package then it had lots of sodium which always encourages the bloat fairy (that stinker).

I have a real talent for retaining fluid, I've had as much as 12 pounds at a time, so I know how you are feeling. Frustrating, huh?

Has the fluid dropped away, yet? Hang in there, the fluid will go away soon and if you are back on plan it will take a couple of pounds of fat along when it goes.
