Room 5123, Again, 9 GV stays and never the same unit twice. Everything looks great, the parks aren't crowded and I got to see Kelly, or Regis and Kelly, she is cute. I also saw Marion Jones, the Olympic gold medel runner from 2000.

I am using an Orlando number to dial in to, someone here said Kissimee was local, that doesn't seem to be true. It seems that this Orlando number is local.

We have to pay for valet parking at the AKL, I tried and tried and there was just no free valet for DVC members. They said it ended on July 16.

I've always posted to beware of where you dial in, stating Kissimee is long distance from Disneyworld and orlando isn't even though you could be in Kissimmee in minutes and at least a half hour drive to Orlando, but it has to do what county you're calling into and Kissimee is long distance because of that.

Hey Rich,

We're here too! The local dial up number is Orlando. We are using earthlink, no problems, but hard to go back to a modem when we've been using internet cable at home! We confirmed with the front desk that our dial up calls have only charged 35 cents to our room bill!

Rich, sounds like you're having a good time (that is when you're not on a dial-up connection! )

Is your goal to stay in every different GV they have? After that you have to head into the 2-B/R units.

You have to be careful about the dial-up numbers or you could hit long distance by accident. Check the phone book there. I don't remember the page numbers, but there were two (I think) pages that showed what numbers (prefixes) were local to where you were calling from.

I believe the Disney location was the <b> 2nd</b> page as the <u>from</u> location, but you should verify that. Definitely do not get on the wrong page. The chart then shows where you can dial to. There are both Orlando numbers and Kissimmee numbers, but not all prefix's are 'local' to WDW.

I thought it had been fairly well covered now that all valet parking was $6/day EXCEPT for DVC members parking at the BWV or the VWL (WL) where valet parking is FREE but as always tips are appropriate...

Hope you are having a great time, Rich, in spite of the dial up! You are in our favorite area of OKW, but wouldn't want the smoking building. How is the bus service? Are the pontoons still running to DTD?

We just left OKW this past Friday. I made it a point to check on the pontoon to DD. Yes the Trumbo Ferry is up and running. The one from DD to PO is not running.

We were in a 1BR in Bldg 27. Everything was great. DW went over the rail and found three golf balls right off our patio.(we were on the 1st floor). A kind of oddity we saw one evening was a guy with a gunny sack with about 2 dozen balls and a ball retriever in his hand. I didn't think searching the lakes would be permitted at OKW. He was coming into Bldg 27.

If he golfs anyting like I do, he may have just been going back to get all the balls he lost that day!

Once in building 15 my son ran in to me yelling a man is under thewater!! We ran out and a guy in a wet suit was coming up. Full scuba gear and hunting for golf balls. I asked him if he was under the water for environmental research, mechanical reasons for the fountain or for golf balls. He said for the golf balls! It was one of the oddest sights we ever saw at OKW.

Rich, Can You check up on Eagle Pines ????? When we were there over Thanksgiving the access road for construction vehilcles was blocked off, or better said barricaded....aske around please. Is it still a go project, or on hold ???
