We arrived today, our flight was on time, and we got to CR within probably 75 minutes. The ME bus driver drove like Miss Daisy's driver, so it took us a while. The lobby is still partitioned off, but check in went smoothly. We are staying on the 8th floor, and our room is 3 rooms from the end, with a Magic Kingdom view. Truly Spectacular view. I will try to post photos when I return. It was overcast and rainy for part of the day, we headed over to Epcot for a few rides, and Illuminations. Soarin, which was the ride we most wanted to ride, had a 75 minute wait, and no FP. So we did Living with the Land, and the new Nemo ride. No wait at all for either ride. The park was PACKED!! EMH tonight, so the crowds were heavy. Monorails were packed too due to P&PP. That's all for now, off to MK tomorrow.

Any questions? The snack bar downstairs on the first floor is open.

Bummer you hit the crowds! I hope you fare better tomorrow. I have decided that not doing EMH works well for us, we seem to avoid crowds. We were at the Studios this morning and everything was practically walk on. Late afternoon we headed over to MK and stayed for P&P - we pretty much walked on everything there too. Hoping we hit a good day at Epcot tomorrow!

We checked into the CR yesterday as well, are on the 8th floor right by the elevators and went to Epcot last night for a ADR at the R&C. Nothing like watching Illuminations while eating dinner. We did Soarin later in the night and the wait had dropped down to 35 minutes.

So if you see two folks walking around the CR wearing the anniversary buttons, it might just be us! :cool1:

How's construction progressing on the new Fantasia store in the center of the concourse? I have a ressie at the CR for the first week of Dec. and hope the store will be open by then.

WOW!!!! When is your anniversary, and how long will you be here? We are celebrating our Disney Wedding Anniversary too!!! Where will you be Sunday and Monday?

Okay, on with the show........

MK was PACKED!!!!!!! Not really used to such huge crowds. I almost have to admit that maybe a bit of poor timing for this trip, but we wanted to be here for our 5th wedding anniversary, so these are the dates we picked. That's okay, after all, we are at Disney, right? The first part of the day was not too crowded, but in the afternoon it was really busy. Most rides were at least 30 minutes, some 40 or more. We rode the normal children rides, carousel, dumbos, teacups, etc. we got a fast pass for splash mountain. We had dinner at Columbia Harbour House. The hummus and tomato broccoli slaw sandwich was to die for! We stayed for the Spectromagic and Wishes. It started out very hot, but it rained in the middle of the day, which cooled it down a bit. Oh! We had lunch at Crystal Palace, which was phenomenal! Awesome food! On the monorail ride back, we got to ride in the front which thrilled dd4 alot!!

Progress on CR......

It does not look like much is going on in the center area. The refurbishment walls are up, and there is work going on, but not much appears to be happening. It's Disney though, so I'm sure that can change in an instant.

Oh! And we got champagne and balloons delivered to our room courtesy of the mouse!

Today we are off to MGM to have lunch with the Little Einsteins. We are going to wander around CS after that to see if we might want to stay there someday, and tonight we will either watch fireworks, or maybe swim.

And I asked one of the DVC CM's if she could say what was being built at CR, and of course, she said they have not been told yet. She said there are a lot of rumors, but nothing solid. Pretty much the answer I figured I would get, but I figured I would ask.

Okay, more later.........

We're checking out on 9/4 to head over to AKL for a few days. We'll be in MK on Monday, pretty much all day with a rest back at the CR thrown in of course before heading out to Boatwrights for our anniversary dinner, a surprise carriage ride for me and DW, and then off to tommorow night's P&PP.

We're in room 4437 and just finished watching Wishes from the balcony , which was awesome. Now it's off to the pool to just relax a while with DW.

I am just wondering which mugs the Food & Fun Center is selling? When I was there last month at 1st they had the Contemporary mugs, then a week later they switched over the YOAMD mugs. However on my last night I noticed they went back to the Contemporary mugs, because they had 1st them out before selling the YOAMD mugs, so just curious if that has happened yet?

I asked a Cast Member in the Sundries store when the new store would be completed and he told me if everything goes well, it should open the 1st week of December. So hopefully you will get to see it when you're there.

Well, happy anniversary! We will also be at P&PP, so look for us, and we will look for you too! We are 3 adults, two of which will have our anniversary pins, and a small dd4 Princess Jasmine! Hope you had a magical time, and maybe we will run into you!

As far as the report, MGM was on the agenda for Sunday, very crowded and hot again. Had lunch with the Little Einsteins, which was a blast and highly recommend. Tried to do the stunt show, but got ended half way through due to lightening in the area. We did T of T, then swam at night. Again I have to say, I would probably not do the weekend before Labor Day again.

Today we are off to AK, then the P&PP tonight. Spread some magic pixie dust that we don't get rained out tonight!!!
