I am having Dining Plan Stress......HELP

OK we leave in exactly 4 weeks. I purchased the dining plan as a way to help with the budgeting of money, food etc....a decision I do not regret. Ds eats more than I do. He is an active boy who is as tall as I am as well so being ten he was not included on the kids menu. This was fine with me as he has an enormous appetite. At my time of booking he was still 9 and I was told that the computer would age him accordingly. Well I find out tonight that the meal plan I paid for is two adults and two children. The computer did not age him when I booked the meal plan in August after his 10th birthday . So what exactly does this mean??? Does the meal plan cards, tokens (unsure how how it works) show two kids and two adults?? I was under the understandig that I could purchase a kids meal in a restaurant and save a sit down on the meal plan.
Anybody that could offer me any help with this would be greatly appreciated....
