My heart goes out to you as well. We faced the same thing with my hubby's father. Unfortunately, dh's family is in Australia, and we are in MD. We were not there for his passing, and I'm upset that he never got to meet his grandson who is his namesake, and see his 2 granddaughter's again.

We're bringing my hubby's mum over the Christmas holidays, and we are all going to WDW. It will be sad for we had planned many times to go with his mum and dad, and never got around to it. Then he was too sick to go, and then he just passed.

I have all of you in my prayers.

Mapmakerj - I am very sad to hear about your family. It is very sad when someone you love so dearly does not have much time. Please make the most of the time you have now and definately enjoy your trip with your son. The boat ride sounds like it would really special for all of you. So sorry to hear about your Grampy.
My Granny paid for me and my son(10) to go to DW last october with some money she left us after she died. She told us to do 'something special' with it .
My son and I left a 'leave a Legacy tile' at Epcot to say thank you and that we loved her- it was very special for us and made the trip a very precious time.
we are going next Aug and will definetly be visiting our tile( you also get send a card at home that you can frame) take care. Ruth

My prayers are with you and your family. Your GP is a good man who has shown that family means alot to him by the gift he is giving to your son.

My prayers are with you and your family at this time. May you enjoy the special memories that you had with him. I know that he is a sweetheart and has given so much to your family. Enjoy the trip, think of him when you do by leaving a tile etc. and then when you come back home frame a picture of your family at DW and put it in a prominent place in your home. This way you will think of his love everytime you see it.

I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. So sorry you are going through this. Enjoy the time that you've got. What a fabulous Grandpa and Great grandpa to have in your lives.

We went and saw my GP about 7:00 last night and he was sleeping. We all said goodbye, because I knew by the way he looked we probably wouldn't make it back before he was gone. He passed away in his sleep last night at around 10:00. We are all sad but relieved that his suffering is over. I will continue to plan our trip once the initial shock wears off and I know you will all be there to help with any questions I may have. Thank you again for all of your kind words of support.
