I just finished catching up on my chronological album!!! I have been working on this for SO long now, it feels so good to be caught up finally!!!

You know what this means???? I get to start my WDW 2003 and Explorer of the Seas Cruise Albums!!!! Woooo!

I still have one layout that I would like to do (the birth of our niece, Shyra) but I am waiting on my sister in law to get some photos for me as I don't have the ones I want.

If you wanna check out my finished layouts:

For those of you who have seen most of them already, I have a new layout in 2002 that I just finished. I forgot I had my 30th birthday pictures put away separately, so I found them and did a layout. It's the second layout in 2002.

A special thanks to all of you who posted their layouts in the past few months! It really got me motivated to get mine done! ::yes::

That's just not right...no one should ever be caught up.....not fair at all! I dream of that day!
My only goal with scrap booking...my kids school books need to be caught up before the next school year and same with their sports/activities...the rest is just a dream to be finished!
Great Job!

You GO Cass! I am almost done with 2003 as well. I started on the Christmas pandamonium.....I'm not quite to Christmas Eve yet....probably about 6-8 more layouts and I will be done...onto 2004! Loved your work and I can't wait to see your Disney Cruise layouts!

Spinning,

Hey, it's MUCH easier for me cus I don't have kids! No kids gives me WAY more time than those of you who have kids AND with kids, there's so much more to scrap!!! I am almost scared about how much scrapping I am gonna have to do when we have a baby!! :p

Alice28,

Woo hoo! Go Alice28!! You are almost there too! I am looking forward to scrapping my cruise, but unfortunately, it's not a DISNEY cruise :( It was on the RCCL Explorer of the Seas. But still I am looking forward to doing some of the pages for sure!!!

Hmm...still working on that second Disney Cruise...:scratchin

How does someone get caught up?

I feel good when I get a specific bit "caught up", although of course it never stays there for long.

Right now I am TRYING to get my 2003 DCL cruise done, then I absolutely MUST catch up DS's Boy Scout album. He only has 1 badge to finish and will be ready to submit his paperwork to all the appropraite authorities for his Eagle and it is tradition in his troop for Mom to prepare a display. Since many of us scrap guess what that display is?!

Of course DD's Girl Scout album needs catching up too.

Then I have the organizer files filled (filling) with stuff (and the photos are in regular sleeve albums waiting) to start High School book for DS (he is a sophomore this year) and DD's Middle School book (she starts HS next year).

I am not even TRYING to start from birth on them. I didn't start scrapping seriously until about 4 years ago and then it was trips first, and the albums noted above. My plan is to start with current school set, then backtrack to the next set (ie: finish high school for DS, backtrack to middle school, backtrack to elementary school, backtrack to birth to school start). I even have a color coded plan for the albums. Of course then there are all of the family photos that should be done, I want to redo the albums my mom put together for me during all of our wedding festivities (I have a plan for that too!)

Guess what I really need is oh...about a solid TWO years doing nothing but scrapping and then maybe, just maybe I'd get caught up! :teeth:

Oh well, guess we can only do what we can do. But good for you Timon!

Deb

I gotta agree with Spinning!:teeth: Congrats to you!! Somedays I think I will never know that feeling. I am currently working on my family book. Then, there is 4 disney trips to do. ;)
I can say DS book is up to date, which is great! DD does her own so I don't have to worry about that. I just haven't had the itch to do it lately...don't know why. Hopefully the bug will strike again soon!!!!;)

Well that's just sick ! (lol) Cass that is so great , but I just can't imagine that ever happeining to me. And my children are grown and I am at home all day and have the time to work on them. My problem is that I take forever trying to decide on how to put my pages together.

Luckily I started scrapping the year I got married (1995)...I was already really into it when DS1 came along, so I pretty much have always been caught up....I know, sick. I guess I just lucked out on scrapping becoming "in" and having my kids around the same time, and already being a crafty kinda gal, it just worked out.

Woohoo! I can't wait to see your trip layouts.... I love how you did the journaling on Shyra's first birthday page. I love how the torn paper looks again the layout.

Oh, and I'll never be caught up but that's okay. I started scrapbooking 1 1/2 years ago and my oldest dd was already 5 and my youngest was 1 1/2. So, I am a little behind. The only advantage I had since, I didn't know about scrapbooking I really didn't take as many pictures as I do now. So, hopefully, I'll have less to scrap if that makes sense. NOw, I take a picture of everything now especially since, I have gone digital.
