A couple of years ago we went on a trip to WDW and had the dining plan (wasn't free for the times we traveled). We ate dinner at the Castle and at that time it was entering the lobby area where the children were able to sit with Cinderella and have their photo (in large royal chair) and get an autograph. We were then brought upstairs for dinner and that was the extent of the character interaction.

There were no swords or wands or characters walking between the tables. The food was the highlight of our trip though!!!

Has CRT now changed??? I am reading about the wands and characters...is that what it is now?? :confused3

Thank you for your input!!!

In Feb for our breakfast at CRT, DD4 got her pix taken with Cinderella in the lobby and then was given a wand on her way up the stairs to eat. Once inside, we got to see, and get autographs from, Mary Poppins, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle (blue dress). Mary Poppins also led this "wishing" thing that all the kids did all this wand waiving, etc. It was really nice.

The CM who booked my reservation told me that there are no characters during dinner hours. I think that what you've described occurs during breakfast and lunch only.

This is correct. Dinner has no characters except that Fairy Godmother makes a few rounds thru the tables. Characters occur at B & L. All 3 meals take 2 TS credits if using the DDP.

My understanding is that Cinderella still greets you in the lobby and you get pictures taken, but there are no princesses circulating amoung the tables at dinner. Breakfast and lunch have both Cinderella in the lobby and the other princesses coming to the tables.

In October/November there were photos in the entrance for both breakfast and dinner. Wands or swords as you entered at both. At breakfast also a wishing star.

In a morning the four princesses go around the tables and then a wish is made by holding the wand or sword over the wishing stars at which point the children close their eyes and then when they re-open them stars are on the ceiling.

At dinner the fairy godmother comes out with the mice (Suzy and Perla), they go around the tables very quickly for photos but no autographs. Then the fairy godmother sings Bibbidi Bobbidi boo and celebrates honeymoons, anniversaries and birthdays.

LOved both and would highly recommend either.
