Played the slots today for my MM dates and was able to get CCV back instead of BRV. Pretty close that they are both wilderness lodge but I am hoping CCV will be fully refreshed by then and I will get a new room. Ultimate goal is BCV but that a tough one to score

I keep getting one day only bcv reservations for different room types its so frustrating! Does nobody cancel two days or more?? Lol

That was so me when trying to book a lot this summer at AUL. Except it was even worse because not only did the room size change the view did as well. Needless to say the house one on this one and we canceled.

Yeah I'm really starting to see it as a lost cause. Im out of points already and waiting for my 250 point contract to load because I dont have enough points to book a backup and let these go.

Once my backup rolls in im going to transfer some points to put out 3 waitlists for the waitlists I need and call it a day. I literally check every day multiple times a day and I find it crazy that its been way easier for me to book vgc than bcv studio considering bcv has way more rooms. Im wondering if maybe its still too far out for the cancellations I'm looking for to start happening.

Last summer in August at Aulani they released a bunch of inventory 30 days out. No clue if this always happens or if it was a fluke. I know it's hard to plan 30 days out though, but just an FYI.

I actually got an email from them today! It says they are doing exterior work during my August stay and that I might have a view. It took me a minute to calm down because at first I thought it was going to say that they cancelled my reservation.

I stopped obsessively stalking it because it wasnt budging lol. I think at the 2.5 month mark i will begin again. It just amazes me with how many rooms they have compared to vgc and even akv club that I've been more easily able to get what I want at those places, but thats probably sheer luck and I know the time im going is popular, but man people really aren't backing out I suppose the pent up demand for a closed SAB also has people holding tight

True true. I did manage to snag bwv so at least I will get to experience a crescent lake resort if the beach doesnt roll thru.

Not my first choice tho, but the rooms do look nice and i would totally be content about it. It's just that SAB in September weather seems like a necessity Is Riviera considered a crescent lake resort?

BCV and BWV are pretty much identical room layouts so it's just the general resort amenities and theming.

No, Riviera isn't a Crescent Lake resort, but it is considered an "Epcot Resort Area" resort.

Riviera sits on Barefoot Bay which is actually part of Caribbean Beach Resort. Disney knocked down the Barbados and Martinique areas of Caribbean Beach Resort to build Riviera.

Yep, even as an owner, studios go between 10-11 months out, especially weekends. So I always book more than I need and modify when plans solidify.
