I just finished the first page of our book for our Disney trip......in 2008 :confused3

And it gets worse. I used my Cricut to make the Disney signature. Took me two hours to remember how to use the dang machine!!!!!! And 3 attempts to get it right!

Oh well tomorrow is another day ;) Maybe I can get 2 pages done!!!!!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

If it makes you feel any better, I just finished the "you're 2 months old!" page in my daughter's scrapbook. She's turning 9 in December! :rotfl: And it takes me a good 45 minutes to get a page done.

In the words of Dory, "just keep swimming!" You'll get it done...eventually!

OK I'm confessing too
My son is 11 and I'm just now getting around to finishing his baby book. While doing my 11 year old's baby book I'm working on my 7 1/2 month olds :rolleyes1

I don't have a problem working with my cricut, because I used it so often. I do however never use my cricut without using my Gypsy. It STILL takes me 45 minutes to do a page, because I'm so particular about those pages.

You are not pathetic, I know that for a fact, you are wonderful... and practice makes perfect.

Keep on using that cricut, and you will get the hang of it.

And here is the little devil's advocate comeing out..... sell it & all the carts and get a Cameo.... that way you can SEE what and where it will cut on your mat. I can teach you!

LOL I have all y'all beat!!
DS is 16 and I haven't gotten past the "home from the hospital" page!! I do have school stuff done but only up to 5th grade, he's going into 11th. And the little boys haven't gotten anything past 1st, DD has nothing!

Squid I haven't used my bug in a few months, because it's actively dying. I might be jumping on the Cameo bandwagon soon too.

I found using swap pieces makes LOs go alot faster (if you don't count the time you worked on the swap pieces you sent)
I do alot simple pages so the numbers go up pretty quick - use alot of pics

Sorry Buffy -- I've got you beat. My son is also entering his junior year in high school -- I haven't even STARTED his school album. To top it off (while we're all confessing) -- my daughter graduated HS in June, 2011 -- I decided I'd better start working on hers in May 2011 and worked through the night the day before her open house to finish it. You should've seen my credenza at the office -- layouts everywhere that I worked on while holding on the phone, when I wasn't supposed to be (since we're confessing LOL) . . .

In a nutshell, we all have wonderful intentions, life just has an evil way of bringing us back to reality . . . .

Don't post much anymore, but while we're confessing.....

I have a few pages left for our 2008 trip, and the completed ones are in....ziplock bags.

I have not started our 2009 trip because we apparently didn't take many pics that don't involve Star Wars weekend.

Our November 2010 trip is about 1/4 of the way done, and those pages re in the album.

In the family albums, I am working on 2007. I stopped on those because I got to Christmas, there are a ton of pics, And I don't like to do Christmas pages for some reason.

I have not started DS9's baby album.

The lat set of pics I had printed are from 2010.

I am pathetic.

I'm working on a cruise we took this May :) but that's only because I stopped working on my chronological albums to get it done before I forgot everything. In day-to-day album, I'm stuck in 2005. :(

I need to stay home for a year and not take any more pictures so I can just scrap without getting further behind. Like that's gonna happen :rotfl2:

LOL I can just picture what your house looks like!! Probably about what mine looks like when I start putting an album together.

Yeah, I have great intentions too, but really bad time management skills.
My intention was to do 365 every year, but I'm back to taking tons of photos of main events and big voids of nothingness in between.

Steph I have 3 Cropper Hoppers filled with completed pages that are just sitting there. Plus I'm working on 2 Disney albums at the same time.

sounds like 2009 needs to be a Star Wars mini album.

I had a separate album for just Christmas but I think those pages are going to get snaked into the annual albums some time in the future.

YUP!!! I need to stop taking vacations!! They kill me! I still have 3 more Disney albums to scrap and I'm taking a 3 family/12 day Disney vacation in December! I think those will be digital, and I don't even like digital that much.

Know what's really sad? When scrapbook stuff gets used for food storage! Yup, did anyone else know that an Iris 12x12 plastic paper holder keeps 2 dozen cupcakes safe and sound until they arrive at their destination??

That was my "scrapbooking discovery of the week" . . . .

That's not sad, that's resourceful!!!

And warrants a pic for our future family/365 album. That will sit and collect dust while it waits for 2035, when we get time to scrap it. :rotfl2:

Not pathetic, just right up there with the rest of us.

I am still working on our 2008 Disney Trip, have one more set to go for DD#2's album then off to the rest.

I did however start Ds's baby album a little after he was born so its started. I am going to need to get caught up soon! Told DBF no more vacations until I am caught up. :)

I went to a crop this past weekend, and worked on my 2000 WDW book. Well, better late than never, right? I have 4 more WDW books to do after that, and have a trip in November! Maybe I need to hire some gluers????

Not pathetic at at all! You are busy living life, work in the scrapping when you have time!

I was almost caught up at one point last year, now I am over a year behind in DD's school book, yearly albums stopped at Christmas of 2011. I have about 3,000 pics that need to be sorted and printed and I am leaving next week for Disney.

I need to take a month off from work and just scrap!

I just wish for one weekend at a scrapbook B&B -- there's one less than a mile from my house! In fact, just last weekend, a lady finish 214 (yes, you read that right) pages in ONE WEEKEND!!!

I'll keep dreaming . . . . maybe someday . . . .

If that's your definition of pathetic then I'll join the club. I've yet to finish ONE Disney vacation album, and I just booked another for next year ;)

Morgan's book, forget it...I don't think I got through her first year and she turned 12 three weeks ago. I have soooooooooooooo many pictures, I'll never ever get through them all.

214 in one weekend? Now THAT'S some scrappin'! I am going to a 3 day crop in October, and hope to get maybe 40 pages (???) done...and a few between now and then. I plan on taking another few hundred photos in November, so I really want to kick it in!

214?!?!? She must have had everything cut and ready to go.
I think the most I've ever done was 70 in a weekend but I had all my pages kitted and ready.

Okay I guess I am not that bad after all! we went to Micheals today and got out of there for UNDER $100 for the first time in a LONG time. I picked up a 4 pack of 12 x 12 plastic paper holders for $14.39 so that was pretty good! Also a scrapbook for our 2010 California trip!

I am hoping that with all this time off I can get a bunch done. Surgery is one week from tomorrow.....
