I am addicted to Yankee Candle Tarts

I was until I discovered the oils you burn from Body Shop. They smell wonderful .

If you think those oils are good, try the ones from The White Barn Candle Company (division of Bath & Body Works).

They are wonderful! :goodvibes

I have sooooo many tarts from three different companies that I don't know what to do with all of them :rotfl: .

I pour it out while it's still melted. I pour it into a plastic container until it cools off. It's great because you can change the scents as often as you want. I usually change mine about once/week.

I don't know what this crock pot thing is, sounds interesting, but did you know about putting the tart burners in the freezer to pop out the wax? Where do you get the crock pot? Does Yankee sell it?

I also have Pumpkin Pie burning right now, next I'm using Spiced Pumpkin. OOOH, I love it, it smells so good! The fall and Christmas are my favorite times of the year for burning tarts, I just love all the scents! Especially the new Christmas scents that are out this year.

A good tip....last year after Christmas, the Yankee store in the mall had all the fall and Christmas tarts on sale for really cheap so I stocked up for this year, I haven't needed to buy any yet, I'm still burning them!

Rival makes the crockpot. I got mine for Christmas last year. I believe my sister found it on their website.

Try looking in a Hallmark store. My electric warmer is shaped like the ones you would use a tealight with. I don't thing Yankee made it. My DH hates the soot that candles leave on the walls and ceilings, so the electric warmer was the perfect solution for our house. I have the pot that you put the small jar in, but I like the warmer with tarts better.

I'd never used one until the Yankee Candle exchange. My exchanger got me a tart warmer and a bunch of tarts. Now I can't get enough of them!!!!!!

I have an electric tart burner and love it. As one poster said, after it has cooled just put the tray in the freezer for a few hours, and the old wax just slides right out. Now I am going to have to go tart shopping! :goodvibes

I love Yankee Candle tarts!

I've never heard of the potpourri crockpot before, I'll have to check it out. Are they difficult to find?

I picked up at bunch of autumn and Christmas holiday scents at Bed Bath and Beyond last year in January and made out lot a bandit.

Oh, I spend WAY TOO MUCH money on Yankee Candle Tarts. I just love the way most of them smell... :)

Oh yeah. We live about an hour from their factory in S. Deerfield and it's dangerous going to the store. But such a treat for the senses. Their themed rooms are really cool, and "go" with the scents. There's another room with their votive candles with EVERY SCENT they make in bins. You can go through and fill up a sampler however you want with the ones you like.

Whatever you do DO NOT go between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's crazy there ot begin with, but during that time it's downright insane.

So I think I am a "tart convert". I have always used the candles & recently started using the oils. Was at the mall yesterday & bought some tarts on the recommendation of so many on the boards.

I LOVE THEM!!! No soot, great scent & less expensive! Thanks everyone! :Pinkbounc

I love MacIntosh Apple, but don't get the Pink Lemonade, yuck.

How long do you think they last in a tart burner? I was wondering if I just get used to them, or do they lose their scent after about two tea lights?

That's one of the things I REALLY miss about New England... (we moved to FL 2 years ago)... but I LOVED going at Christmastime... despite the crowds... I'd take a day off from work, meet my mom there for lunch, and make a day of it.
