I am about ready to throw in the towel (rant coming)

When I changed my free dining ressie from 2 rooms at AKL to 1 deluxe room at BWI last week, I paid the small difference in cost during the call. I went online the next morning and it showed I still owed over $3K. When I called, the CM said the credit from the first room was applied, but the credit from the 2nd room had to go through another department and it is not lost, just waiting to be applied in the system. She said it can take up to a week for it to show online. I checked the next morning and the balance was zero. So it didn't take a week, only 2 days. I then remembered when I made a change from one resort to another a previous time the credit didn't immediately show up. I think your ressie is OK. I would call and ask for a supervisor to confirm.

There have been days that I wish someone would have "deleted" my son, too!
(He's now 33.)

ENJOY your trip. Mistakes do happen. People are human. You're going to DISNEY!!!!!!

How frustrating. I agree and have learned in the past not to change things too often. However there is no excuse for Disney not being able to detail where your money is. That is ridiculous. My best friend and I booked two rooms at the ASMu suites. I received a confirmation in the mail less than a week later. She did not get one. :confused3 We booked at the same time, paid the first night, and she has been trying for months to get a confirmation as I did. They are separate ressies but made at the same time. Seriously it should not be that complicated. They keep telling her that everything is fine. However this is her first trip to Disney everything BETTER be fine when we get there. I have never had a problem so I suspect it will be fine but come on. Hopefully the upcoming changes to the room system will be better for us consumers !!

Wondering if you've been able to get this resolved yet. If you are still trying, ask to speak with a guest services manager next time ~ it is not always easy to get through to them and unfortunately, they are not always the nicest CM's, but they can get things straightened out for you...

It is a shame that you must keep calling and on your dime when it is their error.

Waiting for good news!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I checked my bank account and all of my payments are debited out of my account. No credits

Also realize that credits to your account can take a heck of a lot longer to show then debits! This is usually an issue on your banks end then from the merchant.

Call them and keep requesting a confirmation that shows the reservation being paid in full. Keep at them until you get this!

Then, take a deep breath, because I would say you dodged a larger problem and should be happy you got the original reservation back lol.

I agree that the more changes you make the more likely errors will be made, however, it sounds like she only made one change. Switched from one resort to another and it seems it was the fault of the CM in deleting a child off the original reservations.

Our family has been to Disney too many times to really count since 1971, never having a problem in making reservations until this year. For some reason or another there has been one problem after another in our reservations this year. Has Disney made changes to their reservations systems recently? Either they're having major problems with their systems or customer service and attention to detail is severly lacking which I find odd that Disney would allow it to go to the extent it has when they're suppose to be the best in customer service.

Definitely call Guest Services, speak with the manager and get the documentation that you want. I would also write a letter regarding the problems you have had. Our family is doing the same. Disney can't fix the problems with the system they have in place if they're unaware of the problems.

Hope you'll have a wonderful, magical vacation and all problems fixed asap!

Actually there were two changes; one to change it and one to change it back. But whose counting. ;)
