Those Yankees have been losing a lot lately.......my DD20 loves the Yankees (especially Jeter) and is getting very depressed at their performance!!!

Whatever you do - DON'T do what a hotel clerk in California suggested to my sister & I one time when we had a SEVERE sunburn (& sun poisoning & sun stroke) - He said to lather up with 'Noxema' !!!!! What a dope! Actually, my sister was a bigger dope because she DID it! Naturally, we ended up in the emergency room.

I've heard of the Noxema route.... I think I may have done it back in high school, I was planing on being super tan for the prom & I went to the beach & fell asleep from 8am to 3pm-- WITH BABY OIL RUBBED ALL OVER ME....... What was I thinking???? I wasn't thinking I'll tell you that- I almost ended up in the ER I had such bad sunstroke- My mom carried my fully clothed into the shower to cool me off because my body was so hot & I was falling in & out of conciousness.... SCARY STUFF!! Needless to say I was RED for my prom & my dress was PINK!!! AAAHHH!!! I blended right into it! & all of those romantic stories you hear about prom night... well my bf(who was at the beach with me ouch!) & I spent the entire night PEELING eachother & seeing who could peel the biggest piece of skin from the others back. EW! It was years before I went in the sun again, you would think I learned!! I bought this new stuff by Neutrogena- it's called After-Sun treatment with natural soy-- I was using Aloe & it made it feel better but the neutrogena also helps to prevent skin dehydration & peeling so HOPEFULLY it will work... Worst of all... I had to go out last night & get a dark cover up to blend the colors of my skin because I work with children & I could just see them running away SCREAMING from Miss Amy the red monster!! & to boot... IT IS PICTURE WEEK AT MY SCHOOL!!! I will be in life long memories of children burnt to a crisp!!!! i think I have been justly punished for my mistake & I kindly as that my sunburn be revoked by the powers that be!

Oh, & I won't go be an obnoxious NY Yanks fan to the other baseball fans because I consider you ALL my friends regardless if you are a Mets(YUCK) fan or a Red Sox Fan(EEWW) normally I would go on & rant & rave about... well you know what I would say, we all say it!! Let me just leave it as GO YANKS!!
Thanks for all of your support & advice!!! Lets hope I am brown & not pink after my cruise!!!

Princess it's all love here on the boards, but at the ballpark, different story. We Red Sox fans have to have some pride in our recent winning streak against you guys because of Game 6 (and 7) last year. Have a great season and see you in October. Go to those night game until you are tan....

No Tylenol, you need aspirin. It will help with swelling. I also second the vinegar. I put it in a spray bottle and spritz the hard to reach spots. The smell doesn't stick around long. Aloe Vera is a must too.

If you have sunstroke, sun poisoning or severe burns none of these remedies would be of any use (not just Noxema!) Just one of these types of burns in a lifetime is enough to cause irrepairable damage!

The best prevention is to stay out of the sun altogether and use the sunscreen all the time... Skin cancer is not something that just happens to us fair skinned people.... (off soapbox)

I know, I've been reading all the stories about skin cancer & it is definately scary!! & if you were wondering, I'm not only a lobster, but a snake or other animal who completely MOLTS!! I am peeling like a banana!! it is SOOO gross!! Thanks again for all the love & the wog.... Babe, Bucky, Buckner & Boone.... & if that don't get my point across.... 1918!!! ok, that's it, no foul language or hurling insults.... but one MUST defend their team as I'm sure you expected!!!
