I am a Great Aunt!!!

My niece, Corie, had a 9lb, 5 oz, 21" baby boy by c-section yesterday afternoon. His name is Alex. I don't know what his middle name is. His dad is Goth and wants a good Gothic middle name, but my sister and her husband are not real hip on this whole Goth thing, so they have never really said what his middle name is. Corie is 4'10" tall and about 100 lbs, after 30 hours of hard labor the doctors finally decided the baby was not going to come out, thus the c-section. She's doing well now, and glad the worst is over.

Does Great Aunt sound old to you???

My SIL has 2 stepchildren who are 22 and 19. She is 35. The 22 year old has a baby daughter. My SIL was a Grandmother at 34!!!!

Nah... you can never tell how old any "aunt" can be, as I remember a friend when SSB was young, who was 9 years old, and an "Aunt"...

Thanks for the congrats. I'm so sad I can't see him real soon. They live in Benton, KY, and I have no plans of heading out there real soon.

SSB: The feather boa comes from being a back up singer for Spago (aka Hes). It was late, I was tired, the tag fairies were watching, enough said. I was actually given a real white feather boa at my first Dismeet by Esmerlda51, very thoughtful of her.

And I feel pretty old right now. Been standing at the copy machine all morning. 45 exhibits, three copies of each exhibit, for a total of 4 exhibit notebooks. Some exhibits are over 100 pages long, and I'm only 1/2 way done. I've used two reams of paper already. My back is killing me. When I am finished copying the lot, I will three-hole punch them (no, the copy machine does not do it for me) and put them in their notebooks, with indexes and numbered dividers. I'll need a good massage when I am through.

Thanks again for the congrats! I got a couple of great pics from my BIL a few minutes ago. He looks just like Corie did when she was born.
