Based on experience in our family, the baby will decide what you are called. My grandmother was mama to me, mama Jack to the boys, and Yeya (which means grandmother in Greek ) to one of the girls. She always said she wasn't nobody's grandmother and she wasn't going to be called grandmother and she wasn't.
I Know!! Last night I went to visit and to rock the baby . And my son just amazes me all over again. He is getting up with the baby at night and letting the mom rest! This is the son that three weeks ago if he didn't have somewhere to be would sleep all day and was still playing video games all day on his days off! He is actually taking care of a little tiny person and doing a good job of it! He is concerned about finding a new job with benefits (something he has never even thought about before), thinking about the future and all the while looking at this baby with so much love in his eyes. It is trully amazing!
Thank you! I have had tears in my eyes since Sunday. She is just so beautiful and has all of us wrapped around those little bitty fingers!
They went home from the hospital yesterday, when I asked Ds how she did on the ride home. He said "of course she was fine. She IS a perfect angel" I am hoping he still feels that way after their first night at home.
