My family and I were at the neighbors' today having a cook-out and catching up with them about their recent WDW trip. As we were watching their home movies, the neighbor said, "Oh, we have an extra Port Orleans mug you can borrow for your trip down in July." Immediately I blurted, "Oh no, I can't do that. Reusing mugs is wrong." Everyone just stopped talking and looked at me. And I stammered, "But, but, I read about it on the Disboards! The mugs are for single visit only!' And my neighbor (who had clearly violated this rule with her recent trip there) kind of glared at me and said, "Well, I didn't know I had broken 'the rule'!" Meanwhile my husband got his honey-you-are-obessessed-with-all-things-Dis look and immediately changed the topic.
Was I so wrong to try to educate others about all things Disney?
And does anyone else have to fight back the urge to correct friends/family/neighbors when they're so obviously lacking in Disney knowledge?
I mean, I feel like I need to educate the masses, but then I look so stupid/know-it-allish when I do it!

he then felt guilty for even suggesting that we reuse them.
