I almost had a bad accident today

I was waiting at a red light to turn left. The light changed to green, and I began to turn, when this white truck going about 40-50 ran the light and almost t-boned me. Thank God I saw him coming and I was able to speed up just enough to avoid him. I hope he or she pays attention and slows down from now on! Thanks for listening, I was/am a little freaked out about it.

I am so glad to hear that you were not injured, just hope your nerves are shattered for the day. That is why I always hesitate for a split second. I have had one to many close calls.

I remember a pick-up truck flying through a red light once. From then on I made sure that when a light changes to green for me, I look both ways before moving! Glad you weren't involved in anything.

We had the exact same thing happen to us, only the car wasn't going that fast, maybe 20 to 25 and she did hit us. That was over 12 years ago and to this day I always wait after the light turns green to make sure no one is going to try and go through on the red. As an excuse, the lady who hit us told us she had KFC and was trying to get it home to her daughter before it got cold

Glad you're alright. That always makes me a little shaky and alot cautious for a while.

DD just got her driver's license on Thursday last week and on Saturday a car stopped at a stop sign and then almost pulled right into the side of the van while DD was driving. Of course I screamed at the other driver but DD thought I was yelling at her. Took a while for her to calm down but I think she realizes now why I tell her the best driver is a defensive driver.
