We will be driving from North Carolina to WDW when we arrive in Jacksonville, FL which would be quicker? I-95 or take the bypass 295? (I think we will be driving through Jacksonville about 7-8 am on a Friday morning.)

I prefer to take HWY 9-A which is actually part of 295 but it circles the city on the east side while 295 circles on the west side. If you don't hit the city near any rush hour 95 is no problem. Just stay in the left lane to stay on 95 at the big turn in town.

We have used both ways, have found that I-95 is always much better, than
the bypass. I have gone thru "95" many times, at all times of the day or night. Unless there is a bad accident or some kind of construction 95 is best as far as I am concerned.

They are still doing construction on the 95 (will it ever finish???). Headed south you can take the 95 if it is moving well and you will be okay. Headed north you are better to skip the 95 (the road is a lot more difficult to manage). We always opt for the 9A as our alternate route, the 295 is so much longer.
