I-75 Closed at KY-TN border for rockslide

I'm very interested in this story since we have a trip to Gatlinburg scheduled for next weekend. I found this online this morning:

Found this. Can anyone. Tell which is better of the two or is there a better route yet?
Exit 160- us25west/sr297 west to sr63 south and renter i75 or
Exit 29 Corbin Kentucky, us25e into Tenn, enter I81 at exit 8 Morristown/ white pine.

Actually, I do remember an alternative if you don't want to take the detour.

Exit 29: US 25E into Tennessee. About 2 or 3 miles after Clinch Mountain, you'll hit US 11W. Take US 11 W south into Rutledge. Once you hit Rutledge, continue straight on US 11 W until you hit I-40. Take I-40W.

That will shave about 15-20 minutes from the Morristown/I-81 route.

Both southbound lanes are expected to be open on or before March 17th.

One northbound lane is expected to be open on or before March 24th.

The project is expected to be completed, with all lanes reopen by April 15th.
