Driving from NC, we usually stop for the night in Daytona Beach just off 95 then take I-4 on to WDW. I've heard about the Greenway toll road. Is it better/faster?

Depends on the day , and time of day.

Weekends, go ahead and stay on I4. Weekdays, beware of AM and PM drive times 7 to 10 AM and 4 to 7 PM . You can access a traffic advisory on your cell by dialing 511 on approach for the latest traffic information.

The Greenway is a very nice drive. I-4 can be very busy during rush hour times. All depends on when you will be driving through.:goodvibes

As was said above, timing is everything.

Even though it's a toll road, I use 417 whenever I can--especially during the week.

Remember, all it takes on I-4 is one small fender bender or some poor guy with a flat tire and you have a backup that takes over an hour to clear.

Just my experience when I worked in Orlando!

Thanks so much everyone! Next month we will be driving to Daytona Sunday then on to Disney Monday morning and heading home on Friday morning, probably during rush hours so you have helped me tremendously.

The nicest people are on the DISboards!:goodvibes
