Weather channel is reporting that Interstate 10 is shut down around the I75 crossing due to flooding...(duh)...AND a possible sinkhole! YIKES!!! :scared1:
Any info out there?

Florida Highway web site isn't mentioning it ...yet.

Gonna be heading out in a coupla days. Maybe.

TIA!

news4jax.com is reporting the closure as east of the I-75 interchange. U.S. Highway 90 is an alternate route.

Here are the updated closures
Road closings in Baker beyond I-10:

•U.S. 90 from I-10 to Nassau County line – partial closure in three areas.

•U.S. 90 east of County Road 231 in Sanderson is covered with standing water.

•State Road 121 at Steel Bridge Road in Macclenny is under water.

•U.S. 1 northbound at Roy Booth Road is under water

There is a guy on the weather channel just now saying the sink hole is 40foot deep and 50 foot wide. So if you are planning to travel in the next couple days be prepared and take it easy. The weather channel is reporting that the system will not be out of Florida until the beginning of the weekend. Also be aware that Friday the temps all across the south will be in the triple digits so make sure to have plenty of water in the car and that you check your cars fluids as well. DRIVE SAFELY!
