I’m stuck on Carousel of Progress

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shining when you exit CoP!
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
And the exit's just a dream away!

Man has a dream and that's the start
He wants to get out, with all his heart
And when exiting becomes reality
It's a dream come true for you and me!

So there's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Now that your out of CoP
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
So enjoy your evening in EP!

LOL! :)

Perfect example of why I say to posters that just because your young children are permitted by Disney rules to ride without a parent doesn't mean you should let them.

Rides are breaking down more frequently than ever for more than a couple of minutes and parents should be with their children no matter the ride.

Started singing the song to myself as soon as I saw the title to the thread.

Glad you made it out OP. I love CoP, but I can understand the angst...especially with some poor fella having a panic attack.

Love CoP but once through each scene is sufficient. I don't understand how the emergency exits can't be used??? For the poor guy having a panic attack this is the very definition of an emergency. Not to make too big a thing of it, but not allowing the emergency exit sounds like it could present a huge problem.

Carousel of Progress is a ride that we wanted to do when we went for our first time last year and it was literally the first ride we went on when we got to MK. It was a bit tired and we probably won't ride it again, but really glad that we did because it is a classic to be fair.

Looking forward to that future time of the 80's it promised at the end haha.

@Chris Connelly Welcome to the Dis! :welcome: I'm glad you recognized CoP as a classic, I don't think it's tired but the final tableau could use an update. I think many of us who enjoy this attraction love that it's designed by Walt as an attraction for the '64 World's Fair. It's certainly dated, but a fascinating remnant of the time of early audio-animatronics.
