Hypothetical ? Deluxe Dining plan/free dining

Hi all..
I have a question and though it has probably been covered I can't seem to find an answer
It's a hypothetical situation.
If I booked the deluxe dining plan.. and then a free dining code came out for my stay.. what would happen?
Does anyone know if only the basic dining plan is covered by free dining codes? Or would you pay the difference?
Or perhaps this is a mute question altogether as nobody knows since the Deluxe plan is new

When we were offered the BB Free Dining in Sept. of this year
the FREE PART was just for the Basic Dining Plan but from what
I can remember there was also a Discounted Cost offer for the Deluxe Plan.
I can't remember how much of a discount there was for the Deluxe
plan maybe someone else would know?

The deluxe plan looks like to much food for me but it would
be so much fun to be able to eat at all of the TS restaurants and
not as many CS.

We were quoted $32 per adult per night to upgrade to the deluxe dining for the bounceback free dining promo.

Having thought about it, I think that is just too many TS meals for us. It would severly limit park time eating that many sit-down meals a day. And I don't think my four year old would be up to being "well behaved" in a restaurant 3 times a day for 7 days
Also I can't even imagine the logistical nightmare of 21 ADR's

I think there may be a discount for the deluxe plan if free dining is offered this year which I think it will be because of the bounceback thing that the resort guests were being offered.

At least, I hope it will be offered because I'm on the deluxe plan and if I get a discount, I will add in another day or two to our trip.

Not a nightmare if you do a 2credit meal for dinner and a character breakfast each day, or CRT brfst and regular TS for dinner, or a dinner show and character meal bfst....etc....plus we always do a nap in the afternoon before dinner time. In April we are doing Deluxe with DH and myself ,DD8 , DD7 , and DD4 . We can hardly wait ! ! !

Our DDs are 8, 7, and 4, and we will be doing sit downs every day - examples are CM, CP, 1900 Park Fare, CRT, Hoop De Doo, Aloha, Mickeys Backyard BBQ, CaliGrill, Kona, Narcoossee's, Brown Derby, Concourse, and then some. Why wouldn't they do sit downs or signature meals? We have been doing these since our kids were infants, at WDW and at home. The little ones appreciate good food as much as us adults, and if they get their nap mid-day it works out very well for the evening meal. Character meals delight at any age, and most everyone eats dinner at night, even when not at WDW....
