Hyperspace Mountain to Return

Hoping it's around in February. My family will love it.

My guess is they'll keep all Star Wars theming in Tomorrowland right up until the opening of SWL.

Guess I'm in the minority. I am not a Star Wars person at all so......meh. I want regular Space Mountain back for my trip but it looks like that won't be happening.

I just think that most of the ride overlays are pretty lazy and unoriginal.

This may surprise some of you, considering my username/ avatar, but I find this news disappointing. I thought Hyperspace Mountain was amazing the first couple of times, but after a half dozen or so I'm ready for regular Space Mountain to come back. I thought for sure it would come back after Halloween, but I was wrong.

Don't misunderstand me. I love Star Wars in a way that may be considered unhealthy by some. But, I also love Disneyland. And I miss Space Mountain.

My feelings for Hyperspace Mountain are very similar to my feelings for Haunted Mansion Holiday. I think it is awesome and I really do love it. But, after a few rides I just want the regular one back.

Does that make any sense?

I'm excited too, because we haven't gotten to see Hyperspace Mountain yet (haven't been for 3 years) and my kids are Star Wars freaks. I used to be obsessed with Star Wars too (the original series, haha) so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I think they're keeping it around so folks who take two years between trips can have a shot at it. I agree, I like the original and you can do that again and again and it doesn't get old. Unless you do it 5-6 times a day and your back and neck get tired of staying upright. However, I only did the Hyperspace version once, so I can't say if it gets old or not. All I know is that me and the kids are excited to get a crack at it again. I guess if you've had an AP this year and have been going back monthly to hit this, you might want the original back sooner than later.

The original will come back one day.... and we'll all be wishing for Hyperspace to return.

But then again, I've only watched one episode of Dr Who, despite my sister's prodding. It was the episode about some aliens that wiped your memory. Never watched another one. So I guess I'd feel weird if they turned the Tower of Terror into a Tardis ride.

MAJOR bummer!! We'll be there October 28-29; so sad we'll be missing this. Not sure if we'll ever make it back to DL, so I hope they eventually bring it to WDW!

So glad to hear this! Its been 2 years since our last trip so Im excited to see it! Added bonus- my 4 year old will be big enough to ride for the 1st time and he LOVES Star Wars!

YES! I'm so stoked! I'm back for middle of November and I was so sad on my last trip to only get on it a few times. My favourite ride at the moment!

I'm dissappointed that they did a Halloween overlay while I'm there...I don't need a ghost theme over a rollercoaster set in space...but that's just me.

Unfortunately, we are not at all interested/excited by this We're huge classic Space Mountain and Star Wars fans, and don't really care for Halloween at all. We'll still ride it, but bummed out.
