Does anyone have any experience, knowledge or verified reports with H2O2 treatment (intraveniously)?? My grandma was diagnosed with a VERY rare and very aggressive cancer earlier this month. There are only 300 cases diagnosed a year, and 90% of them are children. There is a 10% success rate in children, and because children can take a stronger dose of chemo than adults (particularily a 79 year young adult), they will have to decrease her dosage thereby decreasing her success rate. Basically, at this point her chances are slim. :sad1:

She has been into a more holistic form of "medicine" her whole life..... taking tons of stock in vitamins, minerals, magnets, etc..... things that sometimes the rest of us just roll our eyes at. Interestingly enough, she's 79 years old, looks about 59 (I kid you not), is on NO medication (well until now). However, she has had her share of major issues.... breast cancer in 83, brain tumor in 95 and now this.

Anyway, all this to inquire about her alternative to the chemo..... apparently in Mexico they offer H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide) treatments intravenously, and endorse it as a cure for..... well, practically everything.... but in this case, cancer. The Mayo Clinic has done some studies, and actually uses it for Rheumetoid Athritis, but doesn't recommend it for anything else. The books and information my dad has read on it leave a lot of questions, but that's all we have for info. With the information we have now, it is looking like her chances either way are slim, so my opinion is that whichever treatment she has confidence in is going to give her the most comfort and peace through the next months, and confidence and security will add fire to her fight.

So, does anyone have any experience with these treatments.... good or bad.... that we can use to make a decision?

I completely understand that she is willing to try anything, I would do the same thing if I felt there were no other options. What's there to lose, right?

I just read a really interesting article (I think it was Yankee Magazine) about 714X which is an experimental treatment used in Canada. No real studies have been done but from the article, many people have had success. Remember the boy that was on the news for running away from the hospital instead of getting chemo? He supposedly used this treatment and is completely cured.

I don't know if I believe it or not, but it's just one more thing to look into while you're doing your research. I hope you can find something that works - sounds like your grandmother has a lot of life in her.

Hydrogen Peroxide is toxic- to all your cells. I would imagine IV peroxide would be extremely painful. And it would not get to the cancer wherever it is.

There's a doctor somewhere in SC who does that, or did that. I think he's in Columbia. I can't remember if he was closed down, though. I know that the powers that be in the medical field (AMA? CDC? FDA?) were opposed to his treatments. I saw it on one of those evening "news" shows like 20/20 or something.

This particular guy that I'm thinking of does claim that it's sort of a cure-all for everything. I'm all for alternative treatment, but anything that people claim cures EVERYTHING can't be as good as they say it is. There's really no good way to know if it's good for some things, but not everything they say it is, or if it's just harmful and not good at all.

In my own personal life, I'd be willing to take chances if conventional cures wouldn't work or wouldn't give me enough comfort compared to the problems they would cause (like the side effects of chemo). I'd probably start with something diet-related first, like the Maker's Diet, Hallalujah Diet, or something like that. I might also consider something more extreme, like the treatment you're talking about, but I think I'd want it done somewhere that I could stay closer to my family. If I were in her shoes and the guy in SC was still in practice, I probably would at least consider trying it.
