Does anyone know a good place to buy Hydration Packs or camelbacks? I have never used one before but have done some research and they look a good thing to use in the parks. Does anyone else use one when there at the parks?

Hi gems smiling and welcome to the Dis :)

I have never used these packs but we stop for drinks frequently instead. I think they look like a really good idea if you are happy to not do the stopping for quick sit downs thing :)

When is your trip planned for?

Thank you for the welcome to DISboards. I am going to Walt Disney world on 1st September - 10th September staying at AKL. This will be my 6th time to WDW and i am so excited. I do all the planning for our trips and like to make sure we make the most out of our holiday. I have changed my mind about the Hydration packs and instead i think i will just take a small back pack (last year i took a shoulder bag and by the afternoon my shoulders really hurt). What does everyone else usually take to the parks? Also what do you think it will be like is September? I'm expecting it to be hot and to have some rain (i really hope the rain stays away though). I know the crowd level will be low compared to July when we usually go but i am worried that the free dinning plan is going to bring in the crowds.

I say quite a few folks in the parks with large 'bum bags' with built in bottle holders. Something like that would give you shoulders a rest.

I'll try and locate a website for you :)

Hi Gems,

Well we once took a shoulder bag (in August) filled with drink but after half an hour of lugging that around DH swore he would never do this again. To say it made him hot was an understatement :teeth:

Now I just take a really small bag which I wear across my body (just big enough for purse really) and DH endures a bum bag! We often buy a bottle carrier strap (just clips onto bottles of water) and carry them slung across our bodies though :)

I really like Goofyish's suggestion above :thumbsup2

Have you stayed at AKL before? We spent a couple of nights there last August and absolutely fell in love with it :)

Cheers

Karen

One work of warning if you buy the bladder type packs.

You must follow the instructions to keep the bladder, pipes and mouthpieces clean, if not you are gonna end up with one poorly tummy :thumbsup2

I saw the tip to take frozen Capri Suns last year and will be doing it again, they are just so brilliant at dinner as they are super cool still, an awful lot cooler than one of those bladder thingies ;)

Thanks again for all your help. Im going to take a small backpack with me. I have stayed at AKL before (twice) and i love it soo much. I find it really peaceful and relaxing.
